It's "free" because it is "included" in my rent. That they increased the rent just before this amazing deal is probably irrelevant. They increased my rent with £20 a month so they could give us stuff for free. How nice of them.

That's probably $8000 cheaper than most places in the US for fiber installation unless you're doing google fiber

uk internet censorship seems to be pretty royally fucked. Seems you have to vpn eveything.

I just received a letter telling me my internet would be $5 more expensive starting next month. It will be $90,62 a month. It includes the phone line though as well as some phone related stuff (1200 minutes a month of free long distance calls, etc.). It will also go up from 5 Mbps to 10 Mbps and remove the bandwidth cap (I think it was ~50 GB a month).

Internet in Canada sucks.
