I can live with or without the slant. Can you provide an example of a mouse you think has good vertical walls please.

You ask for a mouse similar to a deathadder, yet you seem set on a Zowie FK, when just in the SAME company, they sell a mouse with a similar ergonomic shape to the deathadder. So which is it? Same or different ergonomics?

Not really set on the Zowie FK.. I'm open any palm grip friendly mouse. It just seemed close enough to the shape of the DA that I though I might enjoy it, and I've seen it mentioned positively a lot. I enjoy the feel of the DA I just don't want another mouse to fail on me with in a year, and have them not honor their warranty again. I also include wanting the shape of the DA as a base idea of what I'm looking for. So I didn't get suggestion such as the R.A.T.

The FK is more of a claw grip mouse. There's no way I can palm it.

You should rather look at the EC1/EC2 or the CM storm alcor.

Thanks again for the suggestion. I think I 'm going to go with the Zowie EC1 eVo CL Since it the newer version and has the faster scroll wheel. Although the Alcor is still tempting.

EC1 CL is good, I'm really happy I bought it and I normally don't play with right-hand-shaped mice. So if that's what you're looking for, you couldn't get anything better. :)

It has very low LOD (1 mm I think), which is great.

The Alcor is quite cheap so if price is an issue, I'd choose this one. However, its LOD is pretty high (according to a post below) which can be annoying.

I like the low LOD and the coating of the EC1 cl but it might be hard to grip if you have dry hands.

cm storm alcor, just got mine yesterday, MSRP is only 35 euros, should be slighty smaller than DA and lighter (86grams)

Thanks for the suggestion I'll defiantly take a look at it. I love my Quickfire Rapid w/ browns and their support was great when I talked to them about its release date a few years ago.

used AM ec2 and ec2 evo in the past, never liked their oversized feet. bigger contact area = more "stiction" for clothpad users !

alcor has 4 small ones like the good old IME 3.0, it retails for half the price of a zowie, weighs and measures less than EC1, not to mention that it has a "native" 800dpi setting instead of 2300.

So you won't need direct/raw input unless you have really low fps and/or screen resolution. (very important for cs go players since in-game raw input feels smoothed/delayed and ijecting RInput is quite a bit of a hassle )


You also get omrons instead of huanos, my only complain so far is the low-ish perfect control speed when using "heavily textured" pads instead of smooth ones, noticed small amounts of neg accel when using my whole zowie g-tf rough for a full 360 turn ( 800dpi 1.44 sens ), tried a hien black afterwards and the results were even worse ! 270 turns and/or crosshair getting stuck to the floor.

Finally did some neg accel tests on a 10 euro sharkoon 1337 XL black mousepad (smooth as silk!) , noticed no issues whatsoever even when i flicked really fast on purpose ! ec2 evo much more "unreliable" mind you ! could use it with confidenceonly when i was playing on a red colored hien VE, and even then the "native" 2300 dpi setting felt quite jittery in desktop usage.

CL and 2014 versions of evo and FK are using the new IR-LED which is supposed to be less "picky" about mouse surfaces.

about the grip / rubber material, it feels and sticks pretty good ! a "fresh" ec2 evo / DA BE is much worse imo, you can try breathing on your palm if your skin is very dry :)

I've got a near new zowie ec2 evo for sale if you're in the UK.

i had deathadder for 6 years , recently switched to zowie ec1 , its just amazing and u get used to it pretty fast :)

I used a deathadder for about 6 months. More recently I've been using a ec2 evo - the Zowie is definitely a good alternative and a superior one, to the deathadder. Currently gone back to the legend that is the WMO - better than everything. :)
