Maybe you need to update your .net framework version to the last one, I know someone who couldn't play and had massive problems this fixed it.

Also I remember SyncError told Careem to do this, then he could play again (but I don't know if it was the same problem).

Are you using Windows XP? Are you using a legit Windows?

Hi zb0t. Thanks for the reply. I have the latest net.framework but the latest updates won't install.
I have given up on installing that update. But since the game has been running well without it I never needed to make it work either.

I'm still running Windows XP and it is legit.

EMET has screwed up things for some people, and somehow still prevented the game from running even after EMET was uninstalled according to one on the forum.

Trendmicro antivirus was reported to stop the game running by one user, in general its best to check it's not your AV.

Bitdefender caused issues at one point, but Bitdefender fixed it in an update.

Windows update has caused it for some users recently (usually 'unsupported 16 bit application' a later update fixed it, so make sure you have all windows updates.

.net 3.5 being out of date only really stops the launcher from running, not the client.

Black screen could be a rez/refresh problem, you could reset your config via the website (only way to truly reset).

Could be a driver issue, try reinstalling them (QL is OpenGL, test other OpenGL software and see if you have issues)

The Athlon XP processor (definitely, and possibly any other non SSE2 capable processor) has issues at the moment, but that would have hit you a fair while ago instead of now.

Had a report that the current release seems to have enabled at least one AthlonXP user to play again now.

I had similar problems in focus. The solution that helped me was that i removed all config files from ql directory, e.g. autoexec.cfg config.cfg and the rest.

So backup ur cfg files, and try that.

While the game was browser-based, similar thing kept happening to some win7 users, the solution was running the game as administrator.

Problems solved. Reinstalling the drivers seem to have solved the problem. Still not 100% working though. It crashed a few times when I was trying to login and hit the play button.

Another weird thing is that when it says "logged in checking game content" takes a loooooong time to complete. Over 1 minute the last time I tried.

Well at least I can play again :)
