I heard that there is possibility to overclock WMO to 500 Hz in Win 8...

I've been searching for a while. The traditional method doesn't work and it appears that someone will have to completely reverse engineer the drivers in Windows 8 to prevent the system from forcing USB 1.0 devices to a certain polling rate, or something to that effect.

The best solution for gaming is to switch back to win 7.

its fine, but it would be, as i had a £5 cheap shit mouse before, so there is a big difference, it seems smooth, at times when im turning, its normal then goes really slow, asif its on sens 1, but i dno if thats my pc, and the logitech app thing is nice, where to change dpi. Great Mouse

Why would you want to put a shitty G100s' sensor in a WMO?
If anything I'd do it the other way round lol.

You can be very sure it fits into a WMO shell aswell :P

The G100s sensor is bad? From what I've heard it's pretty good, you just don't have 1000Hz and the DPI steps are inconvenient.
EDIT: Btw, doesn't the Salmosa have angle snapping?

Prediction is overrated. You will still hit the same pixel-shots.

perfect thing about wmo is mostly weight and shape, not sensor :P

Yeah, I love the shape and weight of the WMO, that's why I'm doing this.

I get about 2.5-2.8m/s max out of the g100s, which is mostly above my range of normal use, but significantly lower than some of the newer sensors out there. For me the appeal of the g100s is mostly the light weight (~70g after removing weight) and the slim rear of the shell.

Is there a big difference after removing weight?
I would open g100s but I don't want to mess up skates or break some plastic part. Opening WMO was hard :F

Heard that its quite easy to remove and put back the weight, but there is also a 'possibility' you can void the warranty.

When i removed the weight I also applied some better aftermarket feet so its hard to quantify one or the other. The weight distribution is probably more even with the weight, but since the whole thing is so light anyway it doesn't really matter to me.

Opening G100s is pretty easy, theres one screw under the large back skate. I don't recall there being any tricky plastic snap hooks like in the WMO. If you want, you can just poke a hole in the rear skate to access the screw, rather than remove it altogether. For me, the stock feet are a little thin, so I ended up getting some 0.5mm hotline ones from takasta's store on ebay anyway.

weight distribution is better without weight(the back is still heavier than front)

and wmo max speed is about 1,5 m/s, pretty low.

AFAIK the asian edition of the salmosa doesnt have the polling rate switches of the normal edition, and requires the same usbhidf hack to get >125hz that the WMO needs.

Found some pictures of the PCB of G100s!

So I bought a G100s!
It's really comfortable and it's actually pretty nice for me to palm. I didn't think it would be after having used the WMO.

In addition I must say that the body is a lot nicer. There's an anti-sweat coating on the base of the mouse, which really helps a lot if you are a palmy. In the past with the WMO the whole mouse would slip everywhere.

I seem to be getting some new mouse lag though. already had noticed some mouse smoothing and lagging in TF2(ya I have raw input, no accel, no vsync). Now I'm getting it in Minecraft too, all motions are smoothed out even if I twitch and the mouse feels behind my movements

Is this the fault of the driver

Maybe I should never have installed it maybe i should have listened

EDIT: On a side note, is there a way for me to bind the DPI cycle key to MB4 for binding in game?

friend of mine had some brutal mouse lag with his razer in css and ql, vsync off hundreds of fps flying on the screen, we couldnt figure out what caused it. in the end reinstalling the vga driver solved the problem.
