Trivia:
Cypher and Evil met 14 times in regular FACEIT Sunday Cups (not including Season Finals). Evil is currently leading the tally 9 matches to 5, winning 35 maps to Cypher's 23, scoring 433 frags to 366.
In addition, Cypher has never managed to 3-0 Evil in a Grand Final, while the Russian done that feat 2 times already.

In a match online of evil now vs strenx at zotac time, who would win?

Evil seems to struggle when he plays ppl that actually outaim him. See his matches against cypher when he was in his dreamhack shape. Cypher dominated evil online. Same thing against strenx at his zotac era, and same thing in the showmatch against strenx.

However evil seem to have stepped up his game even more since then. Or maybe the cause is thats there is really no one to challenge him. Killsen retired, strenx inactive, avek inactive, cooller isnt super active either and cypher isnt in his tournament winning shape. Tox plays to little to catch up. And ofc we never get to see him vs rapha or dahang outside lan. Its easy to think someone is unbeatable untill someone counters them and make them look average.

Dunno, would be interesting to see an in shape stermy against evil aswell.

I don't really see strenx as a play that does a lot of strategy and thinking in his game. Dont get me wrong, i most probably underestimate him because I cant understand what he does, but because of his amazing aim its so easy to focus on noticing that, therefore I think evil would win, cause he has the aim to challenge strenx's aim, but he adds strategy to his game.

But strenx would repe.with shotgun. I really wish sg was used more often in duel, that's a weapon that creates wtf moments along with plasma.

I never ever mastered shotgun. It simply doesn't fucking work when I use it. I can shotgun someone that has 50 health and he'll take 2 damage some how with crosshair right on him. Then when some asshole shotguns me and I got 100 health I die right away.

Time to set a precedent and change the map pool while it's still at the starting point.
Including the quakecon's intel-dm6 might infuse a good deal of extra interest to the tourney and even coax Strenx once in a while out of his den.

Spring Season is almost over. There is literally no point changing the mappool now. There will be still a good month and a half to have those map in the Road to QuakeCon/Summer Season.

I would like to apologize to all the players today. The seeding list I did, I forgot to save before starting the event which is why some of the higher ranked players met in the round of 16. We tried very hard to bring you all of there matches from the round of 16 to the viewers as well.

I think it should be implemented the possibility to hurt the stomped opponent also.

That way it could be added the "Mario" achievement, and we would have a kind of kill even more difficult to obtain in duel than the gauntlet frag.

Let's hope Evil gets 8play support for travelling expenses to murika

All of Evil's unsmart adversaries crying "all lg", but Evil actually uses every weapon available to him, fragging guys with all sorts of weapons, especially when he meets an opponent of equal or close to equal skill.

He chooses his guns so effectively and swiftly that it gives next to no time for his opponents to register that they were heavily damaged or killed with sg/pg/rl/rg or even GL prior to being last hitted or executed a few times with lg.

They get 2 RGs from afar and 14dmg lg blink as a funeral lightning strike, and spamming "u all lg noob", like anyone forbids them to control the weapon spot or to learn to lg properly. Ash can give out more lg dmg than Evil now, but does he win him? No. So shut up about lg and stuff already - just accept that Evil is up above in the elite pantheon now.

Look at Kills in his half-a-year-ago form - he could easily avoid close combat with Serge and hit enormous RG damage from afar - Evil never spammed any shit like "u all RG" or anything.

And Kills gets big love and respect for not being annoying cry-baby even when he got stomped dearly.

And ofc - when Evil senses weakness in his foe - he sometimes chooses to stack up on as many frags as he can, maybe in order to force the guy to RQ or something (why waste time for a boring pointless "duck hunt" with a zapper), and last hitting or completely obliterating an opponent with lg brings a lot of frustration, pushing the enemy to RQ, which might be an aim under a certain condition.

When it's good then probably because you're such a nice guy. Because zoot doesn't seem to mind talking non-stop at all.

I vaguely recall a lan you two covered (was it a quakecon?) where it looked like you were competing for the same ground. I guess that's also why the zoot/ins partnership works at all, because they complement each other (one being the lead caster and the other the practicing quake duel "expert" commentator). Even if this established relationship appears to have suffered a bit lately (for reasons mysterious to me).

Assumed zoot and you agree on some kind of fair "contract" about who covers what at which point, I believe you guys make for a smooth team indeed.

yeah one thing we're doing is trying to leave more space for each other (and also we are trying not to fear dead air), but i'm also giving zoot more space so that i can focus more on colour type commentary and he is able to get in more play by play. it's definitely a truth that we were stepping on each others toes in the past, but i think this last sunday cup went a lot better.

one thing is stepping on eachother's toes but another is just getting bluntly interrupted mid-anecdote for the entire afternoon. but yeah this Sunday was better than the previous one.

There is the same complementation between zoot and ddk. The reason is why zoot/ins works fine is because they equally aggressively mark their territory and noone get oppressed by this

The 7-10 minutes of banter while I was trying to find a match was actually quite entertaining. I swear I was not trying to test your BS chat time I was looking for a match. But seriously very good casting form from both of you guys and I like the idea that you two are trying new things and pushing yourselves to improve.

How about starting the show with a discussion about the brackets?
Who is in, who will meet whom, who will play the final against evil, etc?
And review the brackets every now and then. This would avoid the impression of showing some random matches, especially in the beginning.

What #86 said was a good idea.

Also might I remind you of an old suggestion; Player introduction sheets/overlays before the match - so ppl not familiar with the whole scene gets a quick overview over titles.

GDstudio used to do some with basic QLR comparasion and such, you could start from that and at events won, number of faceys won current points etc. and previous meetups between players. Would be optimal if they included a picture of the player, and with a website and all this should be doable.

This might get viewers more interreseted in a match beforehand, and I would love it even as a regular viewer.

Also maybe add some quick video of the map they are about to play, like a fly trough, like Qcon kind of did in 2012 I think it was.

Your casting is really good, but I for one love when casters get more involved in the fights during the match e.g. more power behind the casting (not http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQvTyvVX_ys like of course, but a bit more power and entusiasm in fight situations wouldn't hurt :D).

Basically what all the other guys said. You guys improved so much since quake on 2013 and one can really see that you have the same vision of casting. Last Sunday was really awesome.

I also quite enjoyed that you actually make a lot of jokes and are quite funny on air, something that old face it was dearly lacking. After all, it is an entertainment show. So more jokes!

Also what zoom started with showing brackets etc. is really good idea. Like Guys before me said.

Also you shoul try and get more technical commentary in, it's really interesting and might set you more apart from zoom casting style.
