What's wrong with your EC1?

It's jittery as hell. To the point where the cursor will rarely stand still when I'm not using the mouse (it's moving about as I'm typing this), which in games will turn into something that feels very much like negative acceleration. So it's not very good in games that require aiming.

It also sometimes do a "double-signal" when I press a button (any button); like if I use the thumb-button in the browser, it will go two pages back, or double-click when I actually just clicked once.

The plastic was also slippery as hell when I got it. It's still bad, more than a year later.

Lastly there is no way to set a comfortable sensitivity outside of games without using something other than the standard 6/11 Windows sens. The three DPI settings didn't suit me, which is why I preferred something like the Razer drivers where I tweak it how I want.

got zero issues with my ec1 evo cl, other than the slowly peeling coating...

I heard others mention jitter before I got it, but there's always *something* with any mouse.

Friend received it two days ago and is very disappointed.
According to him, it "acts like a cheap 5$ mouse", flicks are impossible to do since cursor gets stuck halfway.

It wasn't from one of those shady chinese sellers from ebay either.

Must either be a ~50cm/360 player, or faulty mouse. EC series do flip out, but only on super fast swipes.

it's most likely faulty, or he used a bad surface(some artisan pads for example).
under normal circumstances, only very few people make it malfunction ingame.

Or possibly a case of EC not evo?

unlikely he still found one, and that non-evo's actually suffer from those problems.

No, it's when they hit max tracking speed.

The non-evos should be more stable.

Serious question here, why do you say some artisan pads are bad? I know that some mice don't work well on some materials/colours. Are you referring to these situations, or are you saying that they are just bad because they are just bad. If they are just bad, can you tell me why please?

Some artisan pads are just bad for some zowie mice, Artisan say so themselves.

I have the EC1 CL and 0 of those problems occur with my mouse. Sounds like you were very unlucky :/

using the newest optical sensor on the market and works wonderfully at 400dpi and the drivers dont need an internet connection and are really light

That looks good. My only concern is that it's heavier than what I'm used to with EC1 (97g) and DA.
