Changing sensitivity slightly is something I can adjust to in a few minutes and at least still have fun. But if my FOV changes at all I suddenly feel retarded. Can't move, can't aim, nothing.
Don't spam randomly, aim and think where, when and how you wanna spam and figure out the spots you wanna spam at. Learn the lesson when your spam was lousy.
There is spam and spam.
One is shooting prediction rockets / plasma / nades, even rails. Good exercise for this is playing aerowalk rockets only. You are supposed to be one step ahead, so the opponent doesn't get a chance to rail you.
The other is actually blocking off some parts of the map. You need to know specific positions, nade bounces etc for this.
In all seriousness, and while certainly no adept myself, perhaps consider the mental game over the weapon game. Spam is only spam if it's done without (proper) consideration.
When you start to think of at a deeper levels (combining your opponents tendencies with the layout of the map, routes/shortcuts, items etc) it becomes purposeful, rather than hopeful.
What are you trying to do? Protect yourself from attack, bait with an item, push a player into a certain area, or dominate them?
Grens are great for covering your own back while you put your attention elsewhere due to the delay in their detonation. Send 4-5 grens down a doorway and you have a couple of seconds to peep/check or attack another door/exit/tunnel. They also hide your location because you can launch a grenade and cover a good part of the map quickly (especially with rocket jumps/assists), which can be useful for duping the other player(s).
A handy trick - don't pew pew pew +attack gren spam. Do you know any half decent player who will move in *before* the next logical (full rate) nade explosion? I doubt it. Leave a delay (1-3 seconds) after your last 'full speed' spam and you can catch people out who were waiting for the stream to finish. It also makes them think twice about attacking after a nade spam session which can give you extra time to do what you're doing.
Rocket the hell out of an exit/entry point and the opponent will often think "fuck that" and head elsewhere. If you have control over the RG/LG and push them to an open area, you've given yourself a huge advantage as they'll have no weapon to counter you.
Gren and rocket spam effect your opponent in different ways as they are perceived differently. Rockets are more aggressive, spamming rockets can be quite intimidating to the opponent. Grenades are more preventative, and your opponent won't be so fearful of them. If you control the map with rocket spam, you're giving off the image that you're stacked and can afford to do so. Someone who saves rockets can be perceived the opposite, of course.
usually illustrations on packages looks inviting and delicious, but i would NEVER eat it like that though :/ not that i see my self eating spam any time anyway.
Lovely if grilled or fried. At least that's what I remember as a kid. Mind you we used to eat tinned potatoes so I might be mistaken as to its deliciousness.
Never eat it burger style. It will be more unpleasant than you expect.
