Have it with reds, it's worth noting that you can lower the travel distance of the keys with rubber o-rings.

yea, but on the mx-board 3.0, you can use only one o-ring under each keycap.
on traditional keycaps, you can use two of them, and get the keytravel cut off right after the actuation.

i had to mod it for the low keytravel anyways, so i put a piece of rubber directly into the switch. :D

i wouldn't recommend it as it needs soldering skills, and the mod will be permanent, as you won't get the rubber out again without harming the plastic inside of the switches.
on everything else than a MX-board the rubberrings are the better choice.

Ordered one set of each, so I can see how they go with my keyboard, I'm expecting to go with black or blue o-rings, black because of the stiffness and blue because of the even lower travel.

Not about the illusion of whatever really. It's a matter of preference.

!?!?!?!??! 4mm is 4mm, with 2mm actuation and release for red/black switches. Normal mechanical keyboards are 4mm (cherry switches), this one is 4mm (cherry switches). This is not a 'low profile' keyboard, it just looks like one. Sure, you could refer to it as low profile because the keys are shorter, but mechanically they are no different, they will not feel different when typing or gaming. Low profile should rather signify a shorter total travel distance in addition to the lower profile keys, of which you know the combination does not exist in mechanical keyboards.
