TFT Central posted their calibration OSD settings and ICC profile. The accompanying review explains how they arrived at those values in order to achieve corrected gamma, white point, luminance, black depth, contrast, and color accuracy/fidelity. It works for me.

I had the monitor for a week before finding those settings. Prior to that, I'd gone a few years using a netbook, tablet, and public computers. I find these settings to be more accurate while less fatiguing than to default and to what I'd grown accustomed.

But again... The settings from tft may work for their graphic card... On yours the colors may not be correct.

what are your impressions? how does it compare with the 2233rz?

so hard to find a good 120hz+led 24-27° monitor. every model has another downside D:

imo, nvc could run some tests and post them (ie pixel persistance analyzer) in order to compare objectively his impressions.

I returned both Benq screens (the xl2420t on the same day i received it) and i'm now waiting on their next monitor in the hope that they revisit pixel response, since everything else on the monitor was brilliant for competitive gaming. The panel they use is slow by default, so they'd need to go elsewhere which at the moment means 23" or 27".

Iiyama have just about got it right with their 120hz screen, but it's too big for me at 27" and the stand is less than satisfying... so waiting on a smaller version of it (23/24) and hoping they give us an awesome ergonomic stand to go with it's reduced size/weight. Until then i'm more than happy with a Viewsonic VX2268WM and/or LG W2363D as they still in my opinion represent the best value for money in terms of performance in-game, if you can find them.

If you could combine the Benq's stand with the Iiyama's panel performance (for gamers) and Samsungs color/fidelity... whilst bearing in mind that all TN panels collectively suck for anything but gaming... we'd all be having more fun. The trouble is getting a perfect balance of everything within a panel without sacrificing too much in one direction... and i think it will be Samsung or Iiyama to get it right in their next product since they've all managed to put out good panels (but with slightly higher input lag as compared to Benq). In some really disturbed way i still hope it's Benq to finally get it right as i really did want to like both of their monitors... it's feature set is still fantastic. But as soon as you run around in a map with r_picmip 5+ and simple items, all you see are black trails (which you can learn to ignore, but no thanks).

I'd like say Viewsonic or LG but I've not seen anything new from them in ages and all their good 120hz panels as mentioned in my guide are now discontinued.

you should definitely color calibrate it, calibrators are cheap nowdays, and the improvement compared to any stock skewed colors are night and day

What's better? AMA on or off? Which one is faster (less laggy)? I don't see a big difference between high and off. But premium feels weird.
