if people wanted feedback about the aurora, this is as good as any

Because I like the g100s and the Aurora wayyyy more.
The FK is ok but I find it too heavy for that kind of shape and it's too flat for my grip.

what are the dpi steps on the g100s ? 400, 800, 1600, 3200 ?

does it work driverless (plug & play) ?

it's 1000 1750 and 2500 working at 500hz out of the box if I remember correctly. But you can mod the dpi in the software.

It can work driverless, I've never installed any drivers so far and it's working flawlessly. I'm playing at 1000dpi (sens 1.25 and no accel)

The sensor is the ADNS-3055, based on the 3050 but modded by Avago for logitech.

with drivers you can do 250 to 3200 every 50 (300, 350,400...)
it can work driverless but the stock dpis are stupid for me since it is 1000 1750 and 2500. it need s 500hz wmo sensor inside

The mouse is decent, very well made and a good sensor. The buttons are a bit hard to press which I have read can increase input lag, which may or may not have affected my gameplay, but I'm not sure. The lift off distance is crazy low, so I play without mouse feet.

I don't really play much quake any more so don't care about the possible input lag.

is the 3.0 stock as in boxed and never used?

It's not new, I've used it few years ago for like 2 or 3 months.
It's "stock" as there is no modification like the Steelseries 3.0.

what's the difference between 3.0 stock and SS mod?

The stock 3.0 is the mouse you find in store.

How did you find the Zowie FK and did you have a WMO to compare it against?

What mouse have you now settled with?

The FK is a really good mouse, it tracks really well on all the surfaces I tested (mostly Artisan Pads and Qck Heavy). But I find it too heavy.

It's 120hz @ 1680 x 1050. It has a 16:10 ratio which is kind of nice.
I don't know if it would work on a laptop. If the card can support it, I think so.

afaik the 2233rz is 120hz on all resolutions unlike alot of newer 120 hz lcd's

2233rz doesn't have hdmi plug, just dvi

It would be dumb to ship a mouse like that to Australia. And your link is showing the g100, not the g100s.

In the EU, they can be found around 30€.

do you think FK is a good replacement for WMO? I have changed mine into zowie like 6 months ago, I am happy but there is still something wrong with it and I cannot explain it.
I mean in games like CS its perfect, but in quake I feel like its slow,

as a person who used wmo,ie3,g100s and zowie you might have nice ideas.

I've found the FK too flat compared to the WMO and I think that's why there is something wrong. Otherwise, the sensor is good, the coating and the build quality are fine to me.

For a WMO, the g100s is really great I think. The new Abyssus seems good too. I heard that the Kana V2 is ok if you don't mind the side buttons. The new bst mouse could have been one of the best replacement aswell. There aren't that many alternatives with a shape similar to the WMO.

For a IE3.0, the new Alcor from CM Storm is a perfect replacement. If you like the 3.0, go for it. It's a fantastic mouse to my point of view.

I think the Aurora is the closest model to the WMO.

The Aurora is just a bit flatter, not as wide but longer. The curve extends a bit more so the palm is in contact with it. And sensor is top notch.
