Honestly I've heard bad things and good things about each one of these pads lol, but I don't think you can be disappointed with them, unless you're so picky about it. I have a QcK mini for when I travel and at home I use a Heavy, I tried the Goliathus (both). My setup is a Boogie bug AIMBPADXL under my QcK Heavy, I don't play on the Boogie bug but to me it feels quite the same as the QcK mini/Heavy...

First, how much money you're ready to spend because Artisan is gonna be the most expensive ones in your list I believe.

the g-tf speed is pretty much a plastic pad and will wear away the teflon on mouse feet within a month. that said i've moved back to it from my puretrak talent because i've felt the need for a very low friction pad recently.

I wouldn't say GTF Speed is low friction, it is similar to Razer Goliathus Control in that regard.

I have the goliathus speed and it's quite a bit faster, so i don't see how the control would be the same, or really any completely cloth pad for that matter.

does your mouse have big feet or small?

It's the same for mice of both types of feet.

I am not sure why, but my GTF speed has noticeably more friction than my Goliathus speed.

Any idea what's the closest pad to Allsop Gigapad in terms of surface? I love mine, but it's a tad too small for me.

I have used the fatality cloth pad since 2004 I think as it was one of the few big cloth pads around back then. Hard to come by as most regular stores do not sell it anymore, but after playing for 10 years on them, I do recommend it.

Pro's:

It basically has a good amount of resistance / friction, which makes your mouse handling feel more accurate.

Even when heavily used they lasted up to 5 years before I decided to replace.

Easy to clean, just throw in a washing machine and let it dry for two days.

Cons:

The feel of the mousepad will change if you don't wash it periodically.

The sides (borders) CAN wear and come off a bit. But usually restricts to 0,5 cm, so you should not have any trouble for regular use or gaming.

Yup, i also have one, and if you want a pad with some friction in it, this pad is really decent.

How would you rate the pads you have tried from most durable to least durable? I would like a durable cloth mouse surface that doesn't change over time, or something that can easily be returned to original standard with a light clean.

i have one and it seems to last longer than a qck.

I really like the Goliathus Control.

Every smooth pad I've used like the Goliathus speed, qck, puretrak talent all increase in friction the longer you use them, even after cleaning.

The larger texture surface of the Control feels consistent compared to other pads in that the mouse doesn't really slow down after months of use.

Looking for a new mousepad to replace my 4 yr old goliathus speed - its cloth was separated from the sponge during the last wash I guess. Might try the zowie g-tf or the Goliathus Control now.

i bought a perixx pad last month. so far so good. glides a little better than my goliathus speed and perspiration does not seem to affect friction that much. mine is ultra big (900x440mm) but there are smaller versions.

I used a QcK+ for years, and got tired of replacing it after only a few months because the friction increased so much over time.

I got a Puretrak Talent recently, I like how out of the box it's a bit faster than the QcK and it seems to be doing better than the QcK in terms of wear/tear, but after 6 months of use, the friction has increased quite noticeably in spots. I've had to rotate the pad 180 degrees to avoid most of the high friction spots, going to try cleaning it to see if it makes a difference.

I had a Razer Goliathus Control back in the day but didn't like how "rough" it felt, might give the Speed a try.

I use QcK Heavy, and you can make them last a lot longer if you just scrub them with a detergent like dish soap once they start to feel sticky. This will make the pad feel new again for a while. Over time you'll have to scrub it more and more often and you can just buy a new one once you get tired of that, but mine definitely last me about a year before I have to get a new one.

Interesting, I'll have to give that a try. I assumed it was actual wear on the mouse pad material and didn't think cleaning would have much of an effect.

weird. my qck+ is three years old and the friction is about the same as when i got it.

Do you have a new one to compare it to? When I had my first QcK pad I used it for about 6 months. My aim for some reason was getting worse and I couldn't really explain it at first, it felt like my hand wasn't doing what I told it to do. I started to suspect it was my pad and when I tried a brand new one side by side with my old one, it was like night and day.

Unless you rarely use your mouse pad, I'd be extremely surprised if your QcK has the same friction as a new one.

no, but i think it would be obvious to me if there was a lot more friction. i've compared it to an allsop raindrop as well as a c4ngen, and the friction is exactly where you would expect it to be; on par with the allsop but rougher, and a good bit more than the teflon (i do not recommend the c4ngen, btw. its friction increases massively in only a couple of weeks, and you end up with a pad where the friction is different all over. awesome for the first two weeks, completely unusable after.)

Goliathus Control. Still feels the same after day one and I got it for over a year now. Your hands do need to get used to the structure of the pad though, can be rough at first. But you're a man, ain't it?

After owning several cloth mousepads:
Razer Goliathus control and speed edition, Puretrak Talent, SS qck, Roccat Taito, Roccat Sense, Zowie GT-F and UIti-Mat Breathe X4. (I am probably forgetting few).
The Ulti-Mat Breathe X4 is in the class of its own. Its a bit like SS qck except it doesn¨t get all sticky and glideless in 2 weeks and it isn´t a thick swamp. A lot of cloth pads seem to have some kind of coating that wears out in few weeks and the glide is gone. Not Ulti-Mat.
Also the thinner the cloth pad the closer you get to the accurate feel of hard plastic pads minus all the cons of actually using one.
