I might be able to get this monitor, model number cm812u-wb. According to some spec sheets it should be able to do 1024x768 at 130Hz? Anyone know if this thing is any good? How much would it be worth assuming good condition?
According to specs, it only has 107kHz horizontal refresh rate, which is still better than most CRT, but a lot of trinitron/diamondtron can easily go up to 130.
Imho you should get one of these.
Best one ever produced : Iiyama Vision Master Pro 514
Yes, it does 107kHz, meaning it might do 1024x768@130Hz, which would be 107.64kHz. 120Hz at that res should definitely work tho.
160Hz at 800x600 is also possible. If you can, I would get a better CRT with higher vertical refresh, so you can do 120Hz at higher resolutions. Around 121kHz or higher if possible.
Just as another option, not saying its better, but if you look for those early 120hz lcd panels on ebay/gumtree now you can get them for quite cheap (50 quid). Here's a list of them: http://www.blurbusters.com/faq/120hz-monitors/
The viewsonic VX2268wm, samsung 2233rz, lg W2363D. Ones like that.
