This isn't just a quake forum platform! I am posting in the Quake forum, cus that's what this is about.

But to put it a different way, if someone buys a different brand name of sugar into your house, not much fuss. Someone buys a different type of coffee, perhaps not too bad, although some prefer specific types decaf or caf, strong or mild, smooth or filtered. Someone restricts you from having sugar and coffee, or alternatively puts sand / floaters in the coffee and sugar, then there's an issue, and then you:

"do shout about it more".

It's to do with "impact" of changes, good and bad to the game. Perhaps might give a better indication to "id" to see how the trends go? And not to mess it up as much.

Just hope it doesn't spiral downwards that's all, as a quake lover I don't want to see the game disappear.

From id's perspective: "its easier to replace the turf than returf the place". Unfortunately they are trying both at once to save the game series they / we love.

Only in ESR. The quake franchise is practically nonexistent outside here, only appearing in other sites at best once a year because of some tournament or some bad news.

While it's true ESR is not a quake site, in the end it is a quake site lol, especially focused on the competitive side of it. This means it isn't and shouldn't be quake only, but we know there's a strong quake bias here.

Yeah, I get its biased towards quake and fps, but what a great target audience? But why don't they listen then? Q4 was out there, until they tweaked the game and the slide too much, and it became messed up. Implementation of multiplayer practical tools, were not available, hence q4max and xbattle, and then divisions, and drop off etc. There was loads of increase in "care" chat then, and what happened? No listen, no game continution.
