Does he really still play it? Does anyone? I thought there weren't any tournaments for that in a long time already. And I thought strenx quit it a long time ago.
yes he quitted and he came back when ESWC announced Shotomania at ESWC 2014. Shootmania is picked up in 90% french lan and ESWC is organized by french people
It's like every hobby. Some people don't notice the difference between 60 and 120hz, others would say "it's just a guitar". Also some notice the improvement but don't think it's enough to pay that much only for that improvement, as a regular screen still works as a screen.
So, for some people the difference between a good setup -including headphones/speakers, dac, amp, source (music), etc.- and something regular is night and day, to the point it's worth buying, while for others it's not worth it, or even some can't notice the difference at all (though tbh if you like music then you should notice it immediately)
In videogames in particular, in a game with good surround audio the difference is immediately noticeable. Great pair of 2.0 music headphones for that use + dac with "dolby headphone" (virtual surround) + in a game with decent sound = competitive advantage = money.

Sad he left the game for so long, could have got to that level again with more practise, I am sure your contribution was rewarded another way? I know mine was.
My best guess: he's being paid for advertising that product.
Also, what tema will he play in? he's no longer in fnatic I think, and if he was he'd have all the Steelseries gear for free. Doesn't compute. I keep thinking about a stealth marketing stunt.
Then it doesn't make sense for him to say it's expensive, does it? I'm guessing most people here laugh at $50 being expensive for headphones or earbuds, but it probably is expensive for the quality you would get from a "gaming gear" company.
edit: maybe I have the wrong price, I just googled the product name
In principle what you say is right, but those precise in ears happen to be quite good. Actually the "non pro" version is one of the best buys out there.
That site almost broke my browser, the loading was crazy but Chrome is a warrior and it didn't flinch. Just couldn't fight with the scroller fast enough
Strenx do you eat baguette for headphones? You seem to have an hungry mouth.. and since you said you'll do anything.
