i joined in overtime and that fucker wouldn't quit.

the quit lists are a lot longer than you think.. red only shows A-C while D-Z is missing.

some mates were there idling/trolling with me just as long, while we spent the time chatting/playing/telling people how to get the medkit this arcto guy was in action non-stop, props to him he is a real iron man.

Kind of reminds me of the old days of Alterac Valley in WoW. Single matches that could last days and days before a victory was taken.

Kinda wish matches like this existed in QL. Just an endless game of X map in ctf/tdm where hundreds join over the course of time. :D

Yeah you had to help the druids summon those fuckers, ice lord for horde and one of those massive trees for alliance I think. Then you had all the other shit like killing wolves and miners for badges or some shit. Can't remember now but the old alterac valley was the definitely the best PvP WoW ever had.

Yeah, I agree! Even a getting a glad title was nothing compared to the fun of AV! :D

I think the thing I miss most about that game was loading up a vent server with good friends and just doing premade after premade. Especially during AV weekend. Honor points from here till Pluto! xD

Oh, and spam running 4-minute AVs towards the mid/end of BC. While those basically lacked pvp, having race after race with the horde to see who could kill drek or vann first was fun, too.

Arathi was fun too. Warsong was okay but if there was a stalemate it got boring as fuck.

I loved Arathi, also! Warsong could be fun unless you were solo queuing. Pretty rare to find a tank to FC that I could throw heals at for fast wins. Made the grind to Justicar a .. trying experience.

AB was great! That was the only pvp zone I didn't want to pvp in. Horde *always* gets BS first. So, on my resto druid, I'd always stealth in kitty up to blacksmith and then bust out my Datrol's Rod of Transformation. FURBOLG FORM, BABY!! You'd be surprised how many hordies just wouldn't attack you cause they saw you were trying to have some fun. Then, I bust out a Romantic Picnic Basket and we'd party at BS. :D:D

hah lol you did bring some old school nostalgic. before alterac valley there was a tarren mill and southshore war between aliance and horde back and forth for 2 days, no quests no summoning no guards (well except in the village, but anyway ... pure carnage. ^^

But yes, unstoppable force in alterac valley was nice OP, especialy when you 1 or 2 shoted a mage or warlock or rogue, good times, fun times. ...how times flyes :))

Later on in arathi basin i was a succesful fury warrior, before it was cool ^^ (full of rage killing rats and chickens lol)

Such long matches are nothing all new. It's basically a war of attirition - who loses will to continue that shit first or gets bored.
I bet knowing Dan and pals that the troll factor was high for the lulz and that Arcto dude was just so happy he could farm points he basically played seriously for straight 9 hours.

I salute the participants anyway. I wouldnt play 1 match for 3 hours let alone 6 or 9. I would get bored to death.

I once did 2on2 on Thunderstruck for 12 hours straight until a automatic server restart at 5 am in the morning stopped us from continuing.

Did not touch that map for a couple of weeks after.
