i've heard ppl use the "he must be using fov 20" before, what are they not understanding about aspect ratio and how ql scales fov? or is it just an expression, not to be taken too serious? i'm just a bit pedantic about it, ins fov 100 4:3 and they have fov 100 on widescreen effectively making it fov 115 or something.

They can set 4:3 aspect on widescreens by driver or monitor.

Nothing special. The music was bad all the way through, and the frags weren't anything I'd never seen before. The font of the frag msg didn't help at all. I like the weapon fx though.

Tbh. There isnt a single frag that havent been on any movie yet. atleast 99.99999999999% of frags are already made. So, in that case, all fragmovies suck ?

only thing i didn't like is that it lacks some more lg frags :), too much rockets imho :p

Everything was recorded before the update.

So I watched the intro and I was like daaamn this is going to be awesome - executed with an artistic and clean approach.

Once I got to the frag-part I realised your editing isn't actually that good. Was a bit disappointed, one thing that pissed me off was the ID's in the bottom left, it looks like you couldn't even be bothered to change the Sony Vegas default text.

Regulator didn't insult sharpe at all, he just explained what he disliked. If Regulator is disappointed by this movie, he has the right to say it. If sharpe can't handle criticism and can't accept the fact that he can still improve, then he shouldn't post his video. It's simple...

You don't do things only for yourself. If you share your work with everybody, you have to be ready to receive different kind of reviews, positive or not.

If I can share my thoughts :

(+) intro and outro are colorful, uplifting, and not too long.

(+) classy config with nice but not too invasive weapon effects.

(-) the directing is nothing new. It's fine to have a good intro and outro but what matters for me the most is what happens during the frags part. And I can't see any risks taken. The kind of risks innovating movies like w3sp strafes, Dorftrottel or It's pekka 2 took.

(-) the music doesn't suit the style and the pace of the movie, it's too fast and brutal for this bright and clean editing. zis is rapha and QL : COOLLER 2010/2011 found a good music/pace balance for example.

(-) the frags are standard.

9+3/10+10 = 12/20
(12/2) / (20/2) = 6/10

I liked the visuals a lot, and expected much after the intro, the music however ruined it for me. I liked the sync to the music at the end, but still.
Maybe it's just me, but the music and the visuals don't seem to fit together. It feels like you're trying to blend two different styles of fragmovies together and it doesn't work.

Music was 1000 times more original than what we generally have so... props for this !

I prefered noctic fragmovie music choice but this was okay too :p.

Now do one with Georges Brassens and French players (l1nkin, Winz, strenx, analyzer, appleseed, unity, Sev3n, Guismo12, gory_, headz, etc.) and you'll make history :).

If Rřvfuld means what you say it means, then I'm pretty sure it's a verb and not a noun.

Other than that huge bombshell, the movie was great.

It's a noun. A spanking, a beating, or maybe more correct an asskicking.

Was solid 9/10 (based on the fact that 10/10 should be reserved for "extraordinary" titles and for evening the ratings when shameful dickheads vote 0/10 en masse.)

Here my breakdown:

[+] Gr9 synchronisation between soundtrack and on-screen action
[+] Aesthetically pleasing visuals
[+] fx, y0

[-] Lowered contrast during transition shots (looks like room filled with smock, particularly noticable on dm13)

Can only give subjective opinion about frag quality due to being away from Quake for so long, but they seemed mention-worthy if watching those games live.

I like the movie, it's neat, sleek and straight to the point. Not the grandest of movies, but that wasn't the point either, so on it's promise it delivers what I consider to be a 10/10 experience. I may be a bit biased because I'm featured, but I stand by my vote nonetheless; good work Sharpe!
