10. Accept the changes made to QL, and find solace in that the changes to QL barely affect you, since you can still choose to play 'Classic'. And on top of it all, you might see QL get a small injection of new players over the coming months. Some of which will stick around.

The ql forum is more like a hotline, a way given to you by the company to talk back to them and to voice your opinion. Certainly not a parking lot.
If you bought a new car and were unhappy with it, you could return it.
But here, the product has changed along the way; its not the same product anymore and you cant do anything about it.

Imagine calling a hotline and being told theyre blocking your number due to your negativity. It doesnt make any sense, because normally, feedback is one of the most valued things in the business world. A thing that helps you make more money.

The approach to their customers is very unhealthy, to say the least.
You may love the changes and call the people who dont a bunch of elitists, but you should realize that next time -if there is a next time-, you can be the one complaining.

You will see quakelive will die as any social project that managed badly. Even without existing community for this game in 2001-2002 I had no desire to recommend this game as good to play to anyone and it stays like this. Some random new players will register for game, get raped by idiots with aimbots, 10 percents of them will get aimbots to play, other will leave. End of story.

Same happened to me. This game is ruled by cheaters and does not exist without them but when I try to discuss this problem I get immediate ban. And what was my goal? Is to find people with same views as mine and maybe do some work together. Work that will contribute to community (FREE STUFF FOR COMMUNITY).
