Heh, it might be possible. We know that id doesn't want to go through the rating process for QL again or deal with regional differences. But if only the DLC is affected then they could simply not sell it to countries like Germany and it would all be fine.

People already complaing that QL is taking away features from Q3 and selling it back. I think this would just make it worse and have people saying "I can have gibs for free in Q3".

If they are gonna start selling cosmetic shit they need to put everything into it, or dont bother at all. Have a steam shop with cosmetics, voice packs, weapons skins, stickers and all that jazz or dont bother.

Or if they are just gonna do this with gibs then sell some more options like green gibs, blood gibs, EXTRA blood gibs, party gibs (like halo), flower gibs in a big gib package. Buying regular gibs back would piss people off. Buying a giant gib pack for a cheap price would probably keep people happy, but I doubt it would be worth the money of creating all the gibs and if they did it, it should really be the start of a whole cosmetics store.

I'd make the rocket explosion more transparent if I could! It gets in the way sometimes, ingame gibs would be worse. Not such a problem in a 1v1 gametype though as you only gib someone when you're done fucking them anally, but for other gametypes.

i have picmip on just so i can see the enemy better, actually i wanted gibs since i started playing QL , that's a part of the game, QL is robots fighting rather than a real Quake game...

Gibs could be quite an obstruction if you got unlucky. I love them in movies, but after the initial novelty wouldn't want them in game.

they can make it either too much blood/gibs or just few, look at Quake 2 gibs for expl, they are not that " huge " they are just perfect, makes the game more fun to play and watch
