i think you can see the laziness in his aim. sometimes he is incredibly quick to correct and track the enemy, other times he will be missing badly, and he doesn't correct at all, for like a whole second.

Actually, it's the best evidence in this thread. It confirms he is 100% hacking, which everyone already knew. It's easy to tell when the crosshair snaps above the head or straight to the center of the model. Not to mention all the times he aimed through stairs, floors, and walls, and one golden part where his crosshair scanned all over the frame of the model after he already got the frag.

That's hilarious. He toggles, and then releases (let's not be too suspicious and hit 100%), and immediately can't hit anything, plus aim immediately drifts upwards (some sort of toggle issue on release?) and has to immediately toggle again. This happens a zillion times in this video: center-mass dead-aim, opponent is planar to him and no verticality takes place, sudden precisely vertical upward sweep of crosshair to nowhere despite his opponent is moving horizontally planar to him. Either glitch in bot, or it stops tracking once it hits a preset 'accuracy limit' and resets control back to player, which either gives an error, or he is reacting to not having any y-axis input when he toggles and therefore when toggle releases due to preset 'acc limit' or something he overshoots y-axis.

That is the biggest thing that looks fishy as all hell to me.
Otherwise it seems a lot like it could be LG bound to be fov 90 or lower.

I have seen quite a few of those LG mid body, to legs, to face, around quite recently in CA.

I reported him with some demos I had and also a very nice story to tell. I did that last week and haven't got a response since then. His last game was 11 hours ago. What does it take them to ban someone?

EDIT: Also guys just to mention about the frags on his video where he does LG suspensions on bloodrun and campgrounds, those frags were given on purpose (and you can tell when he finished the frag and I was down beside the teleporter just watching it). We just wanted to practice lg suspensions that night so we just fell off platforms on purpose without doing anything particular (except shooting beside him to give some nice effects).

Serious went for a long time without being banned, despite many realizing he was blatantly hacking. Took him cranking it up to 99% for him to get the ban.

The game is in financial trouble. Actually in part because of the issue of hacking as I know quite a few who have stopped playing due to it. But for a lot of other reasons already well outlined.

The ironic thing is they have probably invested more man hours watching demos than it would have taken to write and keep relatively updated a modest anti hack for a game that doesn't have a lot of people jumping to write hacks for it due to it's lack of popularity.

The poor guy paid to deal with support issues and watch demo's won't be getting paid anything like a programmers wage.

Sorry if I'm missunderstanding you, but you appear to be saying they should work out of hours on a complex project for free, in the hopes of a return later? (as it would not remove them from the daily responsibilities of their job contract).

That's an awful idea in so many ways, the only real way it would benefit them would be *IF* it turned out to genuinely be the thing to improve their retention then it would extend the life of the project and maybe their job. They would be highly unlikely to get any personal gain from it and that amount of lost rest/social time is highly detrimental.
When they swapped to the stand alone client there was fully about a month when there was absolutely zero cheats that worked, it didn't drop the number of accusations or demo's submitted at all, so they also don't see it as being a retention cure on the same level as yourself.

You're also grossly underestimating the amount of work writing anti-cheat software is, and also ignoring the fact that the company made the decision to have quakelive install without the need for administrative permissions, and any anti-cheat worth bothering with at all MUST have administrative permissions or it will be completely unable to detect any elevated cheats.

Flat out the best hope for anti cheat in QL, is moving to steam exclusivity and getting VAC.

This is what I feel. I've never reported anyone with premium/pro account. I was suspicious and requested demos few times but they always turned out to be legit.
Even more so in tournaments where anyone can spec you or request a demo. Maybe this happens but no game can be 100% clean.

I'm not saying that cheating in ql is not an issue - I'm just saying that it's not a big one in competitive ql because we have such great tools for detecting it manually.

You completely neglect the possibility of cheaters who know how to hide their cheats. There is no way you could spot the occasional toggle from a demo, first of all because you wouldn't even notice it while playing, and thus you wouldn't even review the demo.

For every cheater like ZeroQL, Zubich and Sobra (both technically Q3, but no difference for the argument) there are probably 3 other cheaters who are just way smarter about hiding it.
