Highly doubt an OS problem. Highly think it's firmware/dust/shit design issue.

I'm not sure if it's a firmware problem, because I installed it two times and each time it was automatically up-to-date etc.

I think it's the model you received, you should return it and ask for another model, I use mine on a QcK Heavy, no trape to reduce the LOD, no problem when I was on Win 7 and still no problem on Win 8.1.

I tested it under Mac OSX, and it's still happening : (
I have firmware version is 276, i don't know if it's the latest or not, because if i want to upgrade the firmware, at 11% i got the "Cannot open bootloader device" error.

Just got my kana v2 and its giving the same problem. Have you managed to fix it?

Trying to draw a straight line in paint, but moving left to right using the mouse and a ruler it drop from left to right :/

Or the years of drawing a straight line for me by shitty sensors fucks with my mind? Anyway the liftoff distance on this thing is crazy.

just tested one.
those horizontal lines climbing are because you are holding your mouse slightly twisted to the right.
use a ruler and twist it slightly to the left, the line then drops down going left to right.
maybe sensor position is exaggerating this.
I won't bother trying to get used to it.

Hmm, how do you think the g402 would be like for a claw grip? Maybe I should just take the Kana to the office instead.

By the way i tested it again and it is really the twist to the right what causes this! But why? And why only on the Qck?

I sent it back as soon as i could. It's a shame because i loved it (except that it had the scroll wheel bug just like my previous 1.1a). Fun fact is that i just ordered a Zowie FK1, i will receive it tomorrow.

A lot happened in the past few months, I returned my Kana v2 after a few days, after two months I bought an Fk1, and it is actually a really really great mouse, but I still missed the shape of the Kana, so yesterday I bought another one (different shop, 300km-s away), hoping that my last unit was faulty, or even if it was a design fault, it got fixed since april. Sadly this is not the case. This unit has the same problem as the previous one, strangely enough, it only does silly things on my QcK+ (full black, no graphics), on my Goliathus Controll, everything seems okay (last time I haven't checked, because Steelseries REALLY? Your mouse is not working on your own mousepad, but it works on the competition's pad? What a joke). The way the problem surfaces is really hard to test, but I found an another way to show you guys that this mouse really hates the Qck+:

As you can see, the cursor does a zig-zag almost every time the mouse moves right to left, and down to up. To get this, you have to move the mouse really slowly (cursor moves ~ 1cm/s on the screen). The Fk1 doesn't have any problem with this on the QcK+, nor the Kana v2 on the Goliathus Control.

Either I'm the most unlucky man on earth, or this is really a design fault.

I have same sh!t with my Abyssus 2014 on any cloth pads and polished wooden table. With any settings (500/1000Hz) (from 400 to 1800 dpi). WTF?

I didn't actually notice this problem until I saw this thread.

Now that I have noticed it, it's bugging me. I'm on a qck+ fnatic edition, maybe that's making the difference?

EDIT: just re-read it and apparently people on plain black QcK's are having problems too. ah well, time to go back to my G400

Im using my Kana v2 (white) on my QcK+, and i dont have any problems since i got it a few months ago now.

I'm one of the first owners of V2, my lines are clean, even cleaner than your FK, using QCK cloth mousepad.

Still going strong after god knows how many clicks,
