Someone still doesn't get "e-sports" is all about marketing, of all parties involved. Things such as "skill", "deserving to be there" and others never were the reason why some games were picked and others weren't, nor why quake was in those at one point.
Also, to people that are not into this thing Just Dance is less cringe worthy than watching some neckbeards shout at a computer.
i'm not so sure... i've watched plenty of shootmania (including some games from this year's eswc), and it's very shallow and boring to spectate. also, let it be known that i'm an easily entertained, full-time lolca idiot.
Im into dancing, more freestyle streetdance though. The reason I like quake is very much because of the movement system. Quake and especially defrag/trickjumping is like a form a virtual parkour. But it terms of dancing, in the combination of the movement and fragging you can be tricksy and creative in the same way you could be when you are doing a freestyle dance, a playful improvisation. Some players have it more than others. Not saying dancing makes you a better quaker, but Im pretty sure a good dancer are more creative with his/her quake movement than a non-dancer.
