I've owned a Zowie AM and Zowie EC2 Evo and I can tell you for a fact that the only person capable of telling you if this mouse will be comfortable for you or not is you.

I don't think it will be right for you; I've never held my mouse in the manner you do, so what do I know frankly. However, just buy a brand new one from an online retailer, and return it under the 28 day return period if it isn't for you :)

I went from a wmo to an am, and it was great. I didnt like the large mousefeet, so I swapped them out for some SS microsoft glides (ones on my wmo) in attempt to make it glide in a similar manner to the wmo, certainly helped for me.

I hold the mouse in a claw grip but with the fingers very low/flat so the furthest forward fingers are behind the mousewheel, so my experience with the shape wont be of much relevance to you I'm afraid :(

I am using a zowie ec2 at the moment but i had a zowie am before and liked that one better.
