Funnily enough I've been using my Kinzu v1 for the last few days and quite enjoying it. There definitely is some accel. You can test for it by doing the standard fps test. Line up a map feature with your crosshair, move mouse away quickly then back to its original spot slowly. It should return to the same spot. (eg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VzcC8JPXBY). Overshoot = negative accel, undershoot = positive accel.

In case it matters, my kinzu is firmware 2.9.20, as checked with the kinzu 1.0.7 software utility.

Been trying it out, and either its very small amount, or maybe i dont have the V1? On the back it only says Kinzu Optical

Product number is 62011 (or 62010 for oem/bulk) is V1. It should also say steelseries under the logo on the rear (palm area) of the mouse.

its a 62011, weird thing is that it doesn't seem to have accel in quake only in other applications. Anything to do with in_mouse? I have tried both with and without latest ss drivers.

Weird situation. I don't have any acceleration in Quakelive, although in CS:GO i sense acceleration, with all settings and tricks made to disable the ingame acceleration, there's still accel.

do you use the same sensitivity and fov in each game? you'll most likely notice accel at a lower sens compared to a higher sens, at least in my experience anyways.

i use, low sens 39cm / 360, and i notice accel in csgo but not in quake. Similar fovs but in i measure it and overshoot 360 with faster movement in csgo

have you tried testing raw input on and off?

Detecting no in game accel, tried v1.0.10 drivers and now v1.0.7.
Firmware version 2.9.20.

400 DPI 500Hz polling rate.

in_mouse 2 so windows setting N/A.

I was hoping for the built in accel to work in game.

Got my Kinzu v1 (Sudden Attack) today, product number 62011.
v1.0.7 drivers felt real weird even in Windows so changed to v1.0.10 and all is good.
Accel now noticeable in game and feels great.
I can also confirm that the DPI is higher, not sure where I read it but 560 seems about right.

My OEM V1 plays the same as my v2 so I have to assume its got a dodgy sensor.

lol what, go in paint and look at the massive prediction it has now with the newer firmware.

I did and got crazy amount of prediction with 1.0.7, straight lines.... it was so bad I couldn't even navigate properly in windows.

Smooth with 1.0.10

It's fair to say the v1 can be a bit hit & miss.

I like how this thread is about fixing a mouse so it HAS acceleration, not the other way around

Trying to get my v2 to feel like the v1.

So far:
2.4 sensitivity on v1 = 3.35 on v2 for 360cm.
Haven't nailed the accel settings however moving the v1 fast I get around 540 across the same distance.

So after reading through all the posts in this thread can someone confirm that 62010 has the same characteristics as 62011? there are some cheap 62010's on amazon and i'd like to try how the built in accel would work out for me.

I still haven't got any Accel in quake for some weird reason, drivers, no drivers, in_mouse 0 1 2 -2 -1. Accel in other games.

ill see it for myself in a few days, just ordered a 62011(supposedly, i couldnt check actual model number but it says kinzu optical and steelseries is written on the back of the mouse below the logo)

there's still some left at a seller on amazon uk and they also have a bunch of 62010's, a bit cheaper than the red ones on aliexpress

ok so i got my kinzu v1 oem 62010 (even though i ordered a 62011 lel), i definitely feel the accel kicking in, although its hardly noticeable if you dont have anything to compare it to as it seems to take effect at relatively low speeds. it's pretty similar to what accel setup i have for my aurora, the overall lenght of my 32cm wide qck is a 180degrees ingame, but a quick swipe makes me turn 360+ (about 360 with the aurora, kinzu is more like 540).
