I was actually using Synapse because iirc my DA Black Edition had those 450 - 900 - xxx dpi steps...which i didnt like, and with Synapse you could basically do 100 - 200 - 300 - 400 - 500 .... dpi. I never really had any problems with Synapse and i dont see why people hate it. Did use the mouse for years, with synapse, and did totally well in my games with it....without any issues or whatsoever.

you would get the same "DPI"-settings like in synapse, if you had used the sens-slider in the legacy drivers.
but it's said, that the DA3.5G works very bad together with synapse, which i guess you just don't have noticed(because the whine was quite big about that back then).

well, i did really well in my games with my deathadder...from like 2009-2012 or so...and i never had any problems (very rarely it would flick and i was looking into the sky/ground but that happened maybe like once in 1-2 months or so)

otherwise my flickaim etc. was always spot on and i had zero troubles, so i cant confirm what you say...i wish my kana v2 was just half this good.

if you only pretend to play at 400dpi it shouldn't matter which setting you use

Some people don't like that they have to "login to use their mice", so to speak. That, and a lot of mouse software is notorious for being buggy.

I get the point thuNDa and thanks alot, but that's from 2012, and those comments might actually be "mad opinions" instead of real stuff, and since 2012 didn't synapse update to be better? also, to update my 3.5g to it's best firmware don't i need to install synapse? if i only need legacy driver to update it's firmware then i'll just go with legacy

for FW. 2.33 you need the legacy drivers.
after that you also could uninstall the drivers, and have the mouse at 1800dpi 1000hz.
don't install synapse anyways, you hear only bad things with the 3.5G sensor, even with the just released abyssus 2014.

download dimr.exe(http://www.ngohq.com/attachments/news/1487d12...7-dimr.exe) and see for yourself, that it peaks only at ~950hz when you move left or down, but ~1020hz when moving right or up.
with FW. 2.33 it will reach 1020hz in any direction.

3.05 has the major issue, that the cursor freezes every 5 seconds (at least that was the case with the DA 3G, which uses the same driver).

it can be more stable, depending on the actual mouse model(125hz would be even the most stable, but still it is shit in the whole picture).
but with fw. 2.33 there is no reason not to use 1000hz.

One related question: if i go to a TUP LAN (turn up and play), where the PC's have synapse already preinstalled, is it enough to just right click exit, or i have to uninstall it in order to not screw up my mouse tracking?

Yeah i don't know... why do people think it screws mouse tracking? i actually tried the other day to install and it was pretty much the same, i wanted to try 400dpi and it was just fine... all you have to do is set dpi, you can just close synapse after that and settings will stay

Wouldn't bother with driver for deathadder 3.5G. If I'm not wrong the default is 1800DPI and 500hz which is perfect. Otherwise just set it to that in the driver settings.

No, and just to write it down:

3.5G without synapse:

450 (calculated from 1800 via MCU)
900 (calculated from 1800 via MCU)
1800 (native)
3500 (native)

3.5G with synapse only uses the 3500 step and recalculates from there with synapse, regardless of what it is set on, it is practically just the sensitivity slider of the old drivers in worse.

4G´s S3988 does everything native.

i've set it at 400 and 450, and there's a difference even though the guy below me says no.
looks to be 3 clicks between each 100 dpi ex... 425 dpi, 450, dpi, 475 dpi.
maybe the guy below me had it on the 450 click.

Sry if i probably already asked this question but how do you find the abyssus 2014 ? Are you still using it ?

As you might already know i'm using it atm at default settings (1800dpi 500hz) and so far it works flawlessly. This mouse is just amazing at default settings, probably the best mouse i ever had so far ;)

In practice there's probably no issue with 450, however it's been said that 1800 is optimal for performance. Occasionally you get mice performing differently at different DPI settings, but my experience with the DA was fine at any DPI. Just see what happens. It's an easy calculation to find out what your original sensitivity was under a different DPI anyway.

Pixel Walk gets a bit worse, but it should be fine for 99% of the time, altough if possible i would always go with 1800.

I'm getting razer kraken pro and i would like to install synapse to get sorround sound, am i able to keep legacy drivers for 3.5g while having synapse at the same time? if yes, will my 3.5g be configured through legacy drivers still or will it change to synapse instead?

dunno if this headset has an own processing unit for razer surround, because if not, then don't get it.
when you only use the razer surround software, on usual headphones, it's laggy, means the sounds are played delayed.

i just tried it a week ago, and immediately uninstalled again, even tho the surround effect is good, but the delay makes it totally unusable.

What do you mean by laggy? didn't see any lag, no delay, was the same, are you sure you configured it properly?

i'm quite sure i configured it properly(surround sound was there as expected), and looked into it not only once after i noticed the delayed sounds.
otherwise i use the surround feature(CMSS-3D) of my soundcard(which i turned off for razer surround), which works in a similar way, but is processed from the soundcard itself.

but if you don't have that problem good for you, but if you google you will find that i'm not alone with the delayed sounds.

I'm sorry, you need a facebook account and to +Like TeamRazor, to get surround sound to work. That's just the new cloud driver architecture.

Since 2008 i have been through 3 Deathadders, none have ever had a problem with using any drivers or synapse. Funny im back to the roots using WMO atm.

Use 3.02 drivers with 2.33 firmware. If you use an old Razer mouse you cannot use a new Razer product with Synapse simultaneously... it will overwrite your Legacy drivers and fuck it up.

Actually i managed to get it working, all i did was install synapse, and install legacy drivers on top of synapse, so now synapse only detects razer kraken pro which i can set my personal settings and wont detect my da 3.5g which is now controlled by legacy, so yeah, both installed, legacy is controlling da while synapse razer kraken
