Right. It must be easy for BST to come to this thread that immediately implicates him as a thief and continue coming back. Easy.
It's pretty easy to give respect to BST considering the amount he has accomplished by himself. I don't think you have any idea what this process has entailed for a one man show.
bro, i've been watching and helping BST since before ninox had a name, all I can say is he fucked up royally.
After 4 years of development and planning did any of us think this would be the outcome?
-Super shitty customer service
-no refunds
-preorder fiasco
-buttons fucked up height
-cord fucking thick
-software breaking mice
gotsdamn that was one hell of a failure. I mean we COULD and WOULD overlook all of it, if BST came to us like a man. Admitted that 'ah shit, I fucked up bros, need halp plz'
Then we'd embrace him once again. However the guy disappeared several times without a word and doesn't seem very apologetic.
Nigga would be out on the street if he was working for me. I was his #1 fan. I didn't even order shit from him and I still am supposed to have a 'free Aurora' for naming it. But I don't want it anymore. It's a catastrophe. People should not be sucking his dick anymore. BST has failed.
HOWEVER, you still my boy for quake maps. No hate there.
Except he's still human. You wouldn't notice this in any corporate structure where anonymity is within an enclosed ecosystem with no direct communication with the other party. But BST is the producer, customer service agent and logistics department in DIRECT correspondence with the customers. Have you had a customer service job before? If you have, compound that with EVERY SINGLE OTHER ROLE at a company. He's said it before, when he returned earlier last year he said he was anxious returning here, mainly because this forum has more vitriol than a regular customer service department since complaints are compounding in one thread where people build up animosity from one post. There's a reason he posted on OCN first when orders started shipping out.
Then there's the logistics and shipping. BST received enormous strain from both sides, partly because he released a premature ETA, but also because other parties couldn't uphold their side of the bargain. Not to mention this was all taking place at the busiest time of the year. BST stated there was nothing to be updated on that front, but it was also quite clear that he was working out different solutions with other parties (clearly Amazon) to release the mouse on a timely manner. He was busy with alternatives, couldn't disseminate this information since it wasn't concrete (possible releasing more invalid information) and nothing had changed with previous parties. He was at a standstill.
These QC issues are par for the course sadly. He doesn't have teams with dedicated time or equipment (setups) to test every configuration, and sadly doubt he had the capital reserves to fund it. The cord was a regulations complaint and had to be changed in accordance to their protocols. I recall Puretrak had the same problem on their mouse cord which was promised to have a flexible braided cord but instead arrived with a regular rubber variant.
These things happen for a reason, and you can see where and why if you think critically. Persecuting BST when he is still in the middle of support does not help anyone. At all.
I'll give you that. Progress could have been updated more frequently. Sorta; which leads me to say:
Just something simple like that will tell all of us 'awwwwww shit son, something is fucked' and then we will continue to wait for the bad news.
But he kinda did do that. He delivered the bad news. He stated that there were problems with the shipping company. He told us that he was offloading some of the shipping duties to Amazon. He has even stated that he's letting people keep the mouse whom had already cancelled and refund their money. What you want is a second by second update. But there wasn't anything to say on his side. He delivered the news as he received them. He just didn't flood update frequency with useless information (which mind you can have negative side effects of consumer confidence as well, not just the absence thereof). So if he was cautious with updates then..
..The situation he was facing was cut throat I believe. He was hinging on the slightest chances of the shipping company giving him some sort of news to deliver, or perhaps work on a deal with Amazon. Delivering prompt news is important, but it has to be accurate and reliable. It's pointless to deliver bad news constantly if he has the opportunity to also deliver a solution, which he was working on. Consumer confidence was at stake and ultimately he had to decide whether to constantly deliver bad news or wait until he could find a solution and deliver that simultaneously. The biggest problem BST had was underestimating the necessity of a person experienced with say the logistics of releasing a mouse mass scale and perhaps a small customer service team. From what BST stated earlier about depleting his entire inventory, I doubt he was expecting the mouse to reach this sort of demand.

Maybe it's simply due to ESR not having the best format for updating threads; a lot of people missed the info, or the updates don't feel as frequent as they should. The OPs on all his threads are waaaay too long, any updated information added is easy to miss, and the same goes for his update posts inside the thread.
Not saying the updates WERE missed, but that they don't seem as frequent, or important, or SOMETHING, as they ought to have. bst's posts don't have a big red glow around them, they aren't instantly put at the top of the thread, there's no easy way to find them once there are 100 posts above and below them. So they get swamped by other crap.

True that! He answered all my support questions, just a few days after the preorder launched. I have to admit i had to bug him quite a lot, but i gave him the wrong street etc. lol Anyways, he still answerd nicely. Everything ok. I just think he got to many support tickets within 3-4 months. Guess its not to easy with just 1 man doing everything. Especially if you have an own life too.
BTW, i got one flawless aurora wich arrived after 5 days to germany. Thats why im not to angry that i'm still stuck with my "broken out of the box" aurora 100000067, with uneven bottons (not that it matters, as the mouse is completly useless. just for the uneven button statistics.)
>Theres no answer to my support ticket yet, after waiting 4 weeks, but seeing as some people are still receiving their mouse, i can still wait. But yea i would rather buy another Aurora for the lost 60€.
Nonetheless he still has my support.

about the flawless part, could you go to the mouse thread and look at pvh's post about the left and right buttons delays at the end of the thread and test it?
Nothing is flawless. Of course my mwheel isn't well defined aswell. But is it worth to mention? A friend of mine even use his G9x with the "free wheel" mode enabled. So maybe its a feature. j/k ;P
My two G100s are broken. Should i do it with a kinzuadder 3G @ v2 pro? btw, i don't really see the point of doing it, as the software is buggy for everyone. Anyway, i'll look into it tomorrow.

Yeah I used to think he's very decent and I looked forward to this mouse but now I know better. There's no chance I'll ever buy anything from a guy like this. :/
I bought a mouse from him. I used it for a week and tried to like it. I'm back to the g100s. It's more comfortable and not as bulky as BLTs mouse. Sensor might not perform as well but at least the buttons work as intended and the cord isn't stiffer than end0rphine's boner for BST.
I highly doubt it. I bought something similar once after ESR mentioned it, here's my review. I'm afraid any of those cheap mice will have similar problems, which make them unusable for gaming.
That doesn't make me a picky noob though, that mouse (E-Blue Cobra) is really unusable.
Expecting similar issues from similarly priced mice isn't being picky noob, maybe a pessimist :)
By your recommendation I wanted to get that Zelotes one and review ;) Unfortunatelly, that shop doesn't send abroad and I can't find that mouse either in Poland or on dx.com.
