Its gone. The only copy of quakelive serverfiles was on those servers and they got burned by DDOS. They actually caught fire and all is lost. Reflex devs seem to be behind it all and now we're stuck with their game

I blame wrong management of mighty throlls.
Not all of them can swallow ban from game that they played for last 10 years or so. And thinking that they will do nothing in reply to ban is really short sighted mistake.

For example in my case - why to ban player for swearing, when you can just implement mute option for any period of time you like. With status and reason for mute, expected expiration date if any, etc.
Why to ban people from forum for discussing the game?
Why to ban cheaters when you can remove them to cheater's lounge with 1-2 servers to play. Much softer approach.
Hard to understand for me, but OK, nothing to do.
Just wrong management, imho.

I saw Russian site that was down for 180 days every evening, losing counter from 14k users per day to 200 users per day. So, this can be serious problem.

Rising reflex puts quakelive in a bit in danger.
I don't know how many players partially moved from quakelive to reflex, but I find myself more and more in reflex lately. Especially now, when they fixed net code and I can play on my 90 ping there.
More time people spend in other game - more chances that they will not go back to old one. Especially if they will find something better in new game.
