if you really meant what you said (and I feel like you did) then there is something I would like to share with you:

It seems like the content of the world never changes. I just googled up a passage of Schopenhauer in which he cites Voltaire in his well known Aphorisms:

"In general, indeed, the wise in all ages have always said the same thing, and the fools, who at all times form the immense majority, have in their way too acted alike, and done just the opposite; and so it will continue. For, as Voltaire says, we shall leave this world as foolish and as wicked as we found it on our arrival."

You have two options now. Feel depressed, detached, isolated, misunderstood and lonely. Or, here it comes: acknowledge that you are able of observing all this insanity without taking part in it. And by recognising that all this craziness is merely a by-product of mental illness, you are able to distinguish the two fundamental aspects of human psychology: That human beings are either a) in their natural state, acting consciously and in tune with existence (i.e. healthy individuals) or b) out of contact with their true self, identified with thoughts, acting impulsively and unconsciously (i.e. neurotics / the majority).
What I am trying to convey is that all the insanity you witness all around you is not the whole of what is actually surrounding you. And I hope (and somehow I am almost certain of it) that you have known healthy individuals with whom you spent your time and enjoy yourself with.

If feels very unsatisfying writing all this down since I feel that the core of what I feel is only very lightly touched by the words I used. i take great appreciation to you taking that time :) and yes, i think i understand what you mean, and i realized what you describe years ago, but i still doubt many ppl, and feel i judge lots, maybe without merit. But it's true, i see it all around, and yes, i DO isolate myself as much as possible from it, and spend my time with ppl like minded :)

The music, movie, food, internet, television, pornography, industrial product industries, the general media and so on are great tools to make more sheep, everything seems to be designed for idiots and something that degrades them to that level. The trend is over-engineered KISS principle. The more convenient it is, the more profit it brings and the more popular it becomes, the less the masses have to think to use and consume. This is extremely efficient against the majority.

I've noticed this a very long time ago and I've been paying attention on what I'm eating, watching, reading for quite a while and most importantly, always maintaining perspective no matter what, because without it you are just another sheep.

Heck, people consider Resident Evil 6 to be an "Amazing game". That game almost scarred me for life it was that dreadful. Years ago, that game would have been a 5/10 at best, now, it's rate a solid 8.
