I didn't know if I was watching Rapha or Cooller playing that 125 fps.

It is just so enjoyable to watch someone play against someones style by making all the right decisions. That level of reading melts my heart.

Cause if you think about it, Cooller and Rapha are not very stylistic. They play the game more on making the right decisions while being backed up with sound fundamentals and a thing or two they excel at (Rapha defensive rockers, Cooller in dodging and rockets).

Evil and Cypher have greater mechanical skill but both are extremely stylistic. Styles give distinct advantages in certain aspects of the game, but they have some holes, hence why it is a stylistic play and not textbook.

Its amazing to see how much textbook players like Rapha and Cooller when they are on can abuse those holes and just expose a style.

At the end of the day forever and always textbook playing with the best mechanical skill is the most efficient hole-less way to play.

That is why I think Agent with Av3k or Cyphers aim and movement would be nearly unbeatable.

That’s not true. Tox can’t even play the ABC-game.

He lets you have major items for free while he’s waiting for some yellow on the other side of the map with a 200/200 stack (did that multiple times in the maps against rapha). And he still wins, it’s quite funny.

For the duel gametype, then Cooller. He gives 0 fucks and just out lg's the rest of the duelers, that includes Tox.

Thats a horrible example, evil is chasing the game and he expects cooller to run away and go up the pad. cooller confuses him so he misses loads. in ca its so much easier to aim because you know exactly where, when and how the fight will take place. There's just no comparison.

idk, but a quick look at his qlranks profile shows he gets destroyed by all 'duelers' in NA (all skill levels), even when he has the advantage of being a one-map wonder. Couldn't find any results of him competing in any game too, QL included. He's not worth your time.

Not to mention that he got roflstomped in the match, was mocked by the casters all game long -including about his lack of fighting skills-, rapha was just toying with him and massacred him in all lg fights.

Look at the date on the video, I started Quake in late 2011 almost all of which was CA. I was 1400 elo at duel at the time and played while baked, read the chat. I gave up the instant I first died, duel has a snowball effect of spawn fragging. It's extremely easy to "outaim" someone when you are 200/200 and they are 100/0

I never asked for a duel with Rapha, that duel was from playing in random a faceit tourny and we met up in the bracket. I asked him for a 1v1 ca duel. He of course refused since he has a "reputation" to maintain which is funny in of and itself since he hasn't even been to college.

Fun fact, I already dismantled zero4 in CA and he is convinced I cheat, and he supposedly has better aim than Rapha.

It has been a long time since I've played with wiggly but his aim is no joke. Wouldn't surprise me if rapha will always be the better dueler but I doubt he would beat wiggly in CA. It's like asking an olympic wrestler to outrun a gold medalist. They play different sports.

It's a hard call because all the top pros, when they are on, are amazing to watch. I'd say evil, dahang, strenx, rapha, cooller, and cypher are capable of jaw dropping performances.

It would be cool if pros could make a living playing the game and we'd get those mentioned above plus some new blood playing at unbeliable levels and having crazy fights for high stakes.

It's just too bad the company that owns the game doesn't realize how great the game is and is not even working on quake with modern features and graphics.

both are the most amazing and enjoyable to watch because of their incredible reads and traps.

gameplay wise cooller's style is a bit more entertaining (because of the above + his famous best dodge in the world), although rapha has for himself the best reads and a thing often overlooked : in my opinion he is the n°1 in the choice of agressive moves (in spite of cooller quote). His aggressive moves are 99% of the time a good choice for a given situation. Its often very impressive the balls he has to go for a calculated agression. Maybe a defensive player but the most well calculated aggressions of all.

personnality wise, although cooller’s the most charismatic quake player, he's a bit cold whereas every single rapha interview is a pleasure to watch, very insightful. He seems like a nice, sound guy. He's the tranquille force of quake, never showing disrespect, very humble and yet one of the 2-3 true masters of the game.

although I have to say its probably because Anton's level in english doesn't allow him to show his real personnality
