200 Hz, better color reproduction, practically 0 input lag. More power consumption and bigger physical dimensions - but the desk holds it, not your shoulders. Nice condition -> 15-35 bucks average.

perfect monitor for gamers should be the upcoming acer xb270hu which marzengold already mentioned, but it will be damn expensive, but i still think it's a better price than you had to pay for the benq xl2420g, which cost about twice as much as the same monitor without g-sync(xl2411Z).

- IPS even with good reaction time - no
- 27" rather not
- 1440p so you won't have decent fps in next gen games - no thanks
- 16:9 rather not, but there's no way around it


iirc the VG248QE had by far the best input lag/reaction time from all TFTs?

this acer shows the lowest overall inputlag on tftcentral, but maybe i misread the chart.
-27": just put it further away
-1440p: it has g-sync, so lower fps are still decent, and you don't have to use as much antialiasing

thanks for all the recommendations, I've chosen Acer XB270HA (27'', 144Hz, G-Sync) and I'm very happy with it :)

my review:
g-sync works fine for high-quality graphics and low fps games.
for quake its shit useless and needs to be turned off so you can have 144hz and low latency.

the colors are bad for office stuff, but good enough for gaming, so I'm ok, but not very happy with it.

EDIT: If you set r_displayRefresh <rate> in your config, g-sync does't need to be turned off before starting quake, but will adapt the monitor refresh rate.
