ok you would have to bare with me on this one. Here is the update based on what have happened so far.


1. Timeline
Since we're having more than 16 participants Im going to 'split' the cup into three phases to lessen the games being played in one day and giving it some order.

Phase A - will lock the signups at 03.05, no fruther or last time additions needed so if you still havent signed you should before May 3rd.

Phase B - starts at 09.05 @ 17:00 - Initial games from Winners Round 1/2 and Loosers Round 1-3 played off stream. There is always biggest mess at the beginning If you cant make it for both weekends please sign off or let me know to remove you i am aware that some people would not be able to make it but it had been stated that it might happen and I would like to use this system for future cups just with both dates stated clearly at the beginning. You'll be provided a timetable with when your game might become available (wiht the focus on MIGHT) after the signups will be closed. I'll update this topic with specific informaitons as it becomes available.

Phase C - streamed event at 16.05 17:00 - Remaining games from Winners Round 3+ and all remaining Loosers games. There might also be a timetable available for those matches and as above I'll post it here whenever possible.

I'll get into proper seedings once the signups are closed and we have all participants so dont worry you're seeded badly atm, also the seeding might not be 100% accurate of your skill level, Im sorry about that but there is very little information available atm to properly seed everybody, it will become better as we have more tournaments in reflex.


2. Map poll & map picking rules

The poll for using t3 over t4 ended with more votes for THCT3 so its going to replace THCT4. There are also couple of improvements / changes to the current maps. Most notably the RA area on THCDM13.

THCDM13 - item placement (GL out of RA room/GA out of RA room), RA room (added another entrance/reworked lower entrance/lowered the RA platform so you can headbump on it/added a way to damage RA plarform and room in general from the outside).

THCT1 - stays as is.

THCT2 - fixed clip next to RA that let you float over the RA platform.

THCT3 - moved RA a bit in the direction of jumppad

THCT5 - stays as is.

All maps are updated on my pl host (with thcdm13 as thcdm13a) if you want to try them out, and I'll work on having them updated in other places over the week so hopefully we'll have them all in an accurate state by the end of the week, its only the thcdm13 that somewhat changes though.

As for the map picking rules it goes as follows: BO3 - Winner Pick, Looser Pick, Looser Drop, Winner Drop, Play whats left. BO5 - Winner pick, Looser pick all the way (winnner/looser of cointossr.com).

All games are going to be BO3 except for the semifinals for both winners/loosers bracket and the final. We're going to have an extended series meaning if a guy coming from the winners bracket looses in the finals we're going to be playing another series.

Dear participants we have another update, there have been crazy things going on over the weekend. Fist is regarding the map poll, even during the initial testing phases (after like 5th revision) people were suggesting to replace thct3 with it and after that point pretty much everybody I've spoken with said they woudl rather have it instead of thct3.

Im sorry for this change as it changes the rules again and if there is a guy that was practising only this map he is going to be pissed but I feel that the pancake nature of thct3 and the size of it doesnt play that well and the change for thct7 will be for the better for the cup.

thanks to two new donations $70+14 we now have a total of $214 prize poll.

The signups have been closed we have a total number of participants set for 43 and that means a lot of games that needs to be played so here is a more detailed plan of how things will work.


As announced earlier we're going to have iniital rounds played at 09.05 we're looking to play Winners Rounds 1-3 and Losers Round 1-4 which is a shitton of games. I've already updated the challonge page with what format applies to what round, basically its BO1 for all losers bracket except for LB Round 8 and Losers Semifinals which are both bo3. Winners bracket starts with BO1 only in the first Round than it follows as BO3 until the finals that are BO5. There will be no timetable for 09.05, we'll start at 17:00 and go through with games in order. We'll have at lest 3 happening at the same time for winners bracket and after couple the losers bracket will start to be played simultaneously with serveral hosts available for them. DO NOT PLAY GAMES on your own plz. We need a spec/ref in every game. Plz hang in the irc (#reflex.thc) and wait for your game to be ready, you'll have 10min after any of the refs poke you for a game after that you might get disqualified, but plz dont delay games on purpose [:)]


The guys from arenafps agreed to have those initial rounds casted so there will be stream but you cant expect it to go all smooth for the whole duration [:)] we'll do our best to have the least amount of delays and fuckups possible but it also depends on the participants [;)] so after you play your games plz leave the host as we're going to have 3 slot servers and wait in the channel for another poke, we'll be marking the games that are played as inprogress on challonge so you can keep track of whats happening there.


I've tried to seed people best I could but I cant guarantee those are 100% accurate (those things will become more obvious as the time passes by and I expect it to become easier for the future cups). The brackets you can check now are going to stay for this cup so you can start making estimations on who you will be playing when advancing.
