You don't miss anything. My G100s' cable died within 4 months.

Any USB cable will do if it has the same number of wires (red, white, green, black as ground), you just have to make sure that the order you put it into the socket matches the original.

i tested the g100s before taking its cable, it worked. plugged it into aurora, didn't work. put it back into g100s and it worked. you tell me.

there are small plastic locks, just bend them and pull the wires

yeah i got it. i did it the first time and it wasn't working and i checked the other cable's connector to see how they were in there and they look upside down compared to the g100s or something so i was confused.

surprised you didn't fry something by using the cable with pins in wrong order
