The supermat is more consistent (qck friction changes over time. Friction on my supermat hasn't changed in over 5 years) and has a more ideal amount of friction IMO. It's also the same price or cheaper.

I have a Qck Heavy, and although it was great in London, it pretty much sucks where I am now.

What climate are you living in? If it's dry, go for it, if it's moist then not.

Western Australia, It's mostly pretty sunny but atm cuz it's winter here it's really wet and shit :O

I'm in Cape Town, I reckon the climate will be pretty similar... but maybe if you aren't too close to the sea it will be fine. (I'm like 5 minutes away)

Roccat Taito works great with Zowie EVO EC2, so should be same with FK.

the FK is a great mouse, but those mouse switches are just bad. stiff and uncomfortable in general, i literally first got tendinitis from the AM lol took me physical therapy and a WMO to fix it.

I only know that Artisan products don't last very long unless you try hard to not fuck them up. But they are really sick products if maintained properly

well I don't know if my room is dirty as fuck but my red Hien got super dirty so I tried to wash it and it totally ruined the surface.

I have a black hien that is kind of dirty but I won't wash it. Works good so far, 3 months in but I can see the edges getting dirty again.

A 5-month rough lifespan seems quite low for a mousepad... That's so not worth the money of a Hien pad.

This coming from someone who's spent $500 on keyboards over the past 3 months.

It feels really fucking good though, if you turn it sideways it's even better.

But ya...gets mad dirty :(

I actually am intending to get a Hien some time in the future, after I get a good PC. My Puretrak Talent is definitely a step up from the block of wood I was using prior, so I don't feel a huge need to upgrade.

That said, it doesn't feel as smooth as I had been led to believe when I asked for a "smooth as shit" mousepad. I really want a smoother one.

Mine FK runs best on Razer Goliathus speed. The Taito texture has the ability to nab the hairs on my arms and sometimes it stings like sh*t. Therefore i do not recommend that pad... :P

The sensor in the AM/FK is said to be sensitive to textured/multicolored pads. Dunno bout that but its no problemo on the goliathus even with the green logo. Belive me, i made sure.


BUT, coming from the 1.1a i would recommend you the Abyssus and the Qpad CT or Roccat Sense pad. The Abyssus has a jittery sensor. Some say theirs works fine but thats hard to belive imo. But running the Abyssus on a "waxed/treated" pad with no textile texture in it seems to be the key. Mine works almost OK on the Goliathus pad and 250% ok on the Roccat Sense. Have not tried the Qpad CT but its supposed to be the same thing.
