Racesow/Defrag have quit development and they're both a race mod for an FPS game. RIK is a movement game that will have many more modes and possibilities than just race. New graphics and new maps that haven't been played for 10 years are nice as well.

I think the whole success of it will rely on the ability to make custom maps. It has to be simple all while providing advanced features and possibilities for people willing to make something special.

All I've seen about this is in the roadmap "Create video tutorials [...] for creating levels.". You probably should be more specific. Is there an ingame editor already available, or is there any external software?

Also, you could think of implementing ingame tournaments. Starting from a mappool and selecting a random set of maps used in a bo7 tournament of racing. Managing player's times and ranks in the current tourney.

engine looking good, and good job on making a game.

But 2 things annoyed me alot :

1: hindering the movement in the tutorial, made me very confused and made me want to leave the game because it felt horrible.

2:when rebinding keys , the tutorial should catch up and display now the changed keys for the text tutorial.

not so annoying:

3:make a menu for rebinding keys

4: a more fun end map

These things are all in the road map. For now the main thing to do was get a game out there with functional movement. So it can be tested and worked on. After that these features will come. We know the tutorial is very much lacking at the moment.

Will this work on windows xp with workarounds? I noticed it requires .NET Framework 4.5.2 which is exclusively 7+
