Its weird we have gotten to the point where a developer at iD straight up tells us that hes working on the next quake game and we still are skeptical, but I'm not 100% sure he isnt just jostling our goolies

with all the people who created the first quakes gone, and the call of duty mentality that they will most certainly apply if it ever comes to a new quake game, were better off without it... i think it would be very painful for a lot of people too see how something beautiful becomes a halo type game...

Haven't watched it but I assume this is going to be just like the Battle.net app, which allows (forces) players to have all Blizz games in the same place, which is a very functional and insanely clever marketing strategy. I'd say it's so clever that any company that doesn't do this in the next few years will get buttfucked into oblivion.

So here it seems that Bethesda are just showing which games will be available on the platform, not revealing any new titles or anything.

In otherwords, if they do it properly, everyone who plays Fallout or the elder scrolls or whatever will see a "QL" icon/tab every time they open up their Bethesda platform, which will bring in a lot of new QL players (who will inevitably leave after 2 pointless clusterfuck loadout matches with toxic ragekids). Then again, nsx is probably right, given that they didn't even get the QL logo right they probably haven't got a clue and just wanted to fill space with *any* quake logo.

Whatever happens, hopefully they DON'T do a new Quake while syncerror and sponge are still hired... pair of incompetent idiots.

The scary thing is - it may happen. Sync has a Q4 history and has been basically in charge of QL for 7-8 years. That looks good on paper and I bet his cv doesnt say anything about ruining both games.
As long as people play (thus support) QL, they also support Q5 being the same piece of shit.

Also good online coop and no 60 fps lock, for multiplayer deathmatch QL is all what i need.

I just wish there was a proper revival of arena fps. Reflex and Diabotical I think will fill a certain niche but will never become something big in terms of player-base and be that revival I'm hoping for.
