What stutter? And did you actually test this out?
I can only think of 2:
1. fx_Vibrate is set to 1 and you get that stupid effect...
2. the slight stutter due to the wrong camera interpolation code that you can notice in super slow-mo... that was fixed by entdark

There's tons of examples in movies. One is the outro on cpm24 of dorftrottle. The freecam splines, for whatever reason, are not completely smooth sometimes.

Edit: Might be the fix entdak made.

So you eventually did it, started working on q3mme on your own. That's probably for the best if the "official" build is left for dead. :/

Using /cg_gunX "X" /cg_gunY "Y" and /cg_gunZ "Z" in q3mme should be like /cg_gunOffset "X Y Z" in CPMA. Or do you mean something else now?

Yeap, everyone's lg, can't see mine nor enemy's. I'm using the current quake 3 and cpma version i got from nowadays installer on playmorepromode, i downloaded q3mme from this post (mme_1.7b_2015.06.06.zip)

I also downloaded zzz_scripts_extra_colors.pk3 zzz_invisible_shader.pk3 zzz_fixed_cpma_explosions.pk3 from your link. Which things should i upload? i got lost there :P

I meant all .cfg files in your mme folder. There should at least be a file called q3config.cfg.

Also, knowing how you start q3mme.exe could prove helpful.

Fixed! If someone happens to have this bug, just edit "start q3mme.cmd" with notepad and replace +set fs_extraGames "osp defrag" with +set fs_extraGames "cpma"

Note to everyone: fs_extraGames is supposed to be the list of folder names of the mods whose demos you're loading.

fefor (the Anonymous I'm replying to) was rendering CPMA demos exclusively. Putting the name of the local cpma folder in the cvar as a command-line argument is needed for q3mme to render the demos correctly (for sound too, otherwise it can't find the CPMA hit beeps etc).

I just now realized it isn't listed in cvars.txt nor mentioned anywhere in the docs. It's not mentioned in the "0. How to install and start q3mme" guide from the official forums either. I'll let Auri know. Hopefully, he can edit the post to mention this.

Why do you maintain an "unofficial fork" instead of working with ent? (and it doesn't even show as a fork on github)

I tried to, but we disagreed on some things. He didn't ever want to make a public release when it was long overdue. He focuses too much on things that provide no real value in day-to-day use. But the biggest problem was the build system. It was completely broken. What's the point of publicly hosting open source software if people can't download and build it from source without tinkering with broken shit for hours?

The reason it's not a fork on GitHub is because I locally changed the folder structure and the whole build system because the original project's build system is a complete mess. I had already made a bunch of other changes as well by the time I decided to host a new repo on GitHub and decided it was not worth the effort to make it an official fork because nothing of interest was happening in that other repo anyway.

I just did a clone of the repo to see if it's still broken. It is:
- It uses 2 3rd-party libraries (freetype, libmad) for which it only provides pre-compiled static .lib files: it means you can only build and link with the same Visual C++ version used to build them and you have to use the same settings. Change anything and all bets are off as far as binary compatibility goes. (That's why static libs are generally only used for projects you build from source as part of your build process.)
- It doesn't provide the header files for those libraries, so you have to go hunt them down.
- FreeType is part of the GnuWin32 project. Hey, look at what include path is in the VC++ project file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuWin32\include". And it's only there in the Release target settings.
- When you build, tr_font.c fails because of an error the compiler sees in "fterrdef.h". To fix this, you must add "#include FT_FREETYPE_H" after "#include <ft2build.h>".
- The project file defines "/NODEFAULTLIB:libcmt.lib" in release mode, which will prevent the link step from working when commenting BUILD_FREETYPE.
- The project file defines "/NODEFAULTLIB:libcmtd.lib" in debug mode, which will prevent the link step from working when commenting BUILD_FREETYPE.
- If building with FreeType support is mandatory, why is the BUILD_FREETYPE macro still in the source code?
- By default, the post-build actions copy the target "q3mme.exe" to "C:\".

If building your open source software is that fragile and problematic, what you're implicitly saying is that you don't care about other developers who want to contribute.

I don't want to diss or shame entdark here, he did fix things that desperately needed fixing. But if he wants help from other people, he should fix the stuff that prevents others from contributing. When I talked to him, he was not interested.

I pointed out the problems and I proposed a way to go about it. He didn't like what I proposed and I don't think he ever agreed that the build is problematic. I started to do my own stuff way after that. He didn't fix any of the issues since so he either doesn't acknowledge them or doesn't care.

There's no need to make such a big fuss about it really. I made few code changes (although I believe some to be really important when it comes to day-to-day productivity) and people (or entdark himself) can easily integrate them into his repo. Once I'm done with the current fragmovie, I might set up a real fork and do proper merge requests.
