He was caught doing something prohibited just because goverments need drugs to be ilegal, so they make all this money in the "drug war" farce, ever heard the Talibans banned opium plantations and thats why USA invedad them? Because they didnt want to lose all that money from drug trade. Yeah lets blame the poor guy that wanted to do some money in a hard economy like Poland instead of the super rich class behind the drug interests.

Avek wasn't really a "poor guy". He was/is a member of a criminal band, that not only was involved in drug trafficking but also had possession of guns (i.e. for killing people), several stolen goods (i.e. from other people that worked hard to buy them), didn't pay taxes (could face criminal charges on that too, and as you are aware only assholes don't contribute to society) and so on. Remember the interviews with him where he referred to stealing cellphones and other goods? In the end avek was always involved in several other criminal activities.

Also he had earned lots of money in Quake for his age and place where he lived in, so he did not desperately needed that money. Come to think about it, in the police pictures it was shown that "poor guy" was caught with over $1m in drugs and in cash; so not really "some money" or living expenses.

And BTW:
- That he lives in a certain country is not a justification to be a criminal. Moreover, tourism by wikipedia tells me that Poland offers as much working opportunities and overall higher salaries than Uruguay, if not better. It also isn't a justification that he was a "pro Quaker", since he is the only one that ended up being a criminal and all the others either were studying or working on the side, while avek chose by himself to only play videogames all day.
- The main reason why drug trafficking is illegal is not the consumption of drugs itself, as you are assuming based on some conspiracy theory, but that the former is usually tied with other forms of criminal activities, way more harmful to people (i.e. pretty much avek's record). On a second note, it goes without saying that the really addictive and harmful substances should always be regulated in order to preserve public health, of course some being more restricted than others. For example tobacco has really high excise taxes, very strict regulation about advertising, can't be smoked in closed public places and can't be sold everywhere nor to everyone; that while heroin is straight up banned since it straight up destroys people's lives.

The best argument for legalization of all drugs is exactly to take away the criminal element. Funny that you took Uruguay as an example when they've just legalized (or are about to legalize) weed as the first (full) country in the world.

Violence and theft on the other hand are crimes against other people and have clear victims and if avek is guilty of that then he should do time for that but not for selling drugs per se.

At the same time, Uruguay's president himself was against using drugs, due to them being addictive.

Selling drugs is illegal in Poland, plus most likely being a part of a criminal band is a felony in itself there (as it is in the civilized world). If he is found guilty of that then he should do time, period.

Sometimes laws are unjust and to break them is noble if not even a duty. While profit itself is not heroic or noble, anyone who helps undermine and hasten the end of prohibition is doing some good in my book.

But read it carefully, as the article states the people arrested in Ostroda weren't the ones with the stockpile of drugs and firearms, they were dealing smaller quantities, i don't condone it but at least people should know facts. The guy who originally posted on twitter that avek was arrested with huge amounts of drugs and guns, was not reading the news correctly. Facts are avek is awaiting trial, as Ins says he is playing CS:GO a lot.
