It's September 22, Just a few hours ago, GOG and
Steam announced that SOMA, a psychological horror survival game by Frictional Games that froze your veins with fear with Amnesia and Penumbra ti tles are not quite convinced that they've frighten you enough this year.
With SOMA, they're trying a new approach which as opposed to scaring you with dungeon monsters and creepy castles, plays tricks on your mind and leaves you restless even after the credits roll. Storyline is the main focus here, instead of the regular medieval setting, SOMA is sci-fi oriented and doesn't rely (purely) on jump scares but more of a psychological burden, the morality of your actions and discovering the dark and mysterious hacking terminals. Grade A sci-fi mindfuckery at its best.
