well that was entirely awesome

Very smooth and stylish little movie.

However, the sequence of the frags is a bit unlucky, having the weaker filler frags in the first half of the movie, whereas the really tight shit comes later.

Anyway, 10/10, even if only for the fact that you realeased a dope Quake 4 movie in FUCKING 2015 (!!)

Thank you, honestly I appreciate the positive comments and the fact you can appreciate the skill and time put in. I used to play CPMA before q4 so crouchsliding was easy to pick up for me and I had it mastered fast. I always felt i had an out of the box style apposed to others.

Just out of curiousity, what do you think about Reflex? I mean: For you, personally, and for the whole arena-shooter community as a whole

I have never played it, once for a few mins when it was a really early beta release. From a video i watched recently of it, it looked pretty good.

Can't help it, I just love q4 fragmovies. I always feel like the gameplay and those maps, especially Monsoon & Placebo offer a lot more angles and clutch gameplay than what we have in QL right now; feels so tight compared to QL duel frags.

And there's less +back action going on in Q4 duels :P ... usually

True, but it looks more cinematic to me, so I went with that. Also I've tested the settings out for quite a while, they're a bit milder compared to the default settings.

WOW!!! It sounds like a dream, but is true actually... I always thinking that there's too much Q3 or QL movies, we need more Q2 and Q4 fragmovies, yeah maybe they are old games but are awesome too... There's a lot of demos over there of these games...

Crouchsliding looks interesting for sure but I haven't played with it in any game, so hard to judge :]

It depends. If you like CPM, there's a chance that you'll like crouchsliding too. At least for me as a former Q4 player I like CPM way more than vq3.

I liked it. The whole movie looked really clean and well edited. Never played Q4 but crouchsliding is cool to watch. Especially the cap on Spider Crossings was very smooth. Reminded me of a map in Trackmania which was quite popular.

Music was fitting but also a bit generic...

no good reason, except the part where quak4 was piece of shit underdeveloped by by a careless subcontractor, not worthy of being called quake. it came out shit and was modded to semi-acceptance.

Multiplayer was really bad at start... slow and no q4max...
even now vanilla q4 is shit without q4max

Ye I found a way to convert Q4 maps into Reflex. I think they have similar play style in ctf and I think it can work really good.

What was the bit rate of the uploaded file? 85% of the time it looked ok, but at times the bit rate tanked and it looked absolutely horrible. Not a problem on my end, other 1080p60p videos are just fine, and my connection speed isn't an issue.

Other than that, great video. A bit low in-game sound volume.

Edit: Downloaded and saw the 1080p60p version, no problems with bitrate there, looks awesome.

A great movie, finally.

That was awesome! I rarely enjoy fragmovies lately compared to what I used to, but this one was a blast, good OST, 1080p, 60fps, smoothness heaven. Even tho I only played Q4 for a short-period of time I always thought it was a good game with a lot of potential wasted, pretty much like UT3 where the core gameplay was good but everything else was horrible.

Good job man =) truly enjoyed.

I have and it's weird.
Feels like 3 different projects stitched together in post, the longuest one of them being an Antii video. The freecams are weird, some are used to transition between maps and modes which gets confusing because of the short duration of the scenes and angles used, some are used to highlight moments you don't actually get to see at all during the freecam ( next level zeroql blueballing ), some frags that given the lack of a killfeed could have used freecams to help contextualize them don't have anything and then add a couple of the usual botched transitions using teleporters the wrong way ( it should be tp, switch, tp exit, not switch, tp, tp exit ).

It's nowhere near as bad as most of the vids I've been bitching about for a couple years, but it's like actual editing went downhill during the last 10 years.
