actually it was quite enjoyable, and i liked your lg frags a lot :)

usually we almost only see air rockets/nades and 4+ rails in a row in frag movies, and some levitating lg.

but this one was cool because there was a lot of 45%+ lg, quite refreshing actually. reminded me a bit of q3 fuel 2 (for the content only).

So what's it like making movies in reflex? How difficult / versatile / bugged / etc is it in comparison to wolfcam

The ability to add replay markers while in game, and being able to skip to them during demo playback is really good, think of how UDT's cut by chat function works, without the cutting.

It was a pain to capture the footage from older (< 0.36.4) demos, because it didn't seem to scan or buffer the entire demo, so I had to wait a few minutes before being able to find the next marker.

LG frags and Bolt shots were a pain though, as the demos are recorded server-side, so it would look like I'm aiming quite far behind the enemy while it was spot on when I made that shot, this can be seen in the movie as well. Also flickshots get smoothed out somehow.

Archiving demos/replays is the main problem atm, I've myself lost a couple awesome airshots and flicks to this. Changes to netcode and gameplay tends to render older demos obsolete, so you need multiple backup builds of the game in order to play some demos. So we basically have to wait for the game to stabilize before we can start archiving demos for community movies for example.

Working with a relevant demo file with a relevant build is pretty sweet and easy though.

Av3k movie, never forget.

The frags from the demos I went through weren't good enough IMO. It would've been a waste of time. It was already a lot of work to go through all the demos I found online, couldn't be arsed to work even more on something that wasn't going to be what it supposed to be. Shame av3k didn't send me anything more than what was available online.

Such a shame it's downright criminal.

Not as cool as a CPMA movie, but that's pretty hard to beat CPMA's awesomeness.
Frags aren't incredible but not bad neither, but it's probably too early to expect a lot of insane frags. Let's be patient.

Clean & fluid, that's what matters the most in my opinion and this fragmovie does it well. It just lacks some refinement (intro/outro, transitions) and more impressive frags to go to 11.

Yeah, it's only a few weeks of footage, we'll see better stuff in the future.
