Should have waited longer, and gotten Intro to go through more/older frags to get some really flashy stuff :s

It's alright, but it didn't excite me as much as an Intro fragmovie should. The editing was almost there, but overall could have had a faster pace by shortening the clips, especially the post-frag tails. Also when you did slowmo it looked like you just lowered the timescale in Wolfcam? Always render out at a higher frame rate so that you can slow those sections down more naturally, it makes a huge difference.

Also I need a second opinion from Teen Queen, but it might be too bright ;p

Afaik this was everything Intro had saved for a frag movie. In regards to slow mo, using a lower timescale in wolfcam actually would have been the smoothest way to do it. But I was going for a gritty feel for the last frag, with the slow audio rate too.

I feel kind of bad now after the 4sg response!

Intro told me he only gathered these frags for a few months before you started making this, though. I know he has some really spectacular moments, it's just a matter of someone (him) going back to find them. Lots of these frags should be filler for the more exciting stuff.

Also Wolfcam slowmo is jerky as fuck, for me at least.

I like that it focused on frags that were drawn out over a length of time. If it showed the health/armor it would be more informative of the state of the game when things went down.

Most frag movies just have lots of carnage focused on the biggest names in the frag pool. Even a top 10 dueler does poorly when that first rocket bounces them perfectly. Kinda takes away from the next 3 that finish him off if you ask me.

okay after a second watch I can rate this. All these reflections are from my side, you don't have to agree with it.

First of all the music is in my opinion very good, especially the first song. The editing was decent, but a bit boring. It's not a bad concept to take the maps in order like you did, but it limits the editing even more.

Most frags were good, but some you should have left out. The movieconfig is in my opinion a little boring too, it looks like you described before, gritty.

The only camera I noticed were a really bad one at toxicity, which didn't add anything to the scene, you should IMO not used that one at all.

Overall it's not a bad movie, but could been better with some tweaks. Your youtube channel doesn't include any other movies, so if this is your first, then it is a very good result. I give you a 7 for this, which is not generous nor weak, it's were this movie land at in my not so serious rating book. GL with future projects! :)

Were you stormkeep in q2, if so met you on server once :) I liked the movie anyway so keep them coming it's probably a lot of time and effort if you want to learn a nice style I always enjoyed infensus productions for rtcw scene

I wasn't stormkeep, although I did play a little q2 before I got q3 =) Thanks for the comment! I have another two movies in the works right now. One is especially a very large project (I'm having to learn so much to do what I need to do). Look forward to it!

9/10 only because the frags were kind of pale here and there, wanted to see something more exciting in a package like this, but there were some pretty good moments (that ledge jump on sinister near mega to confuse opponent, never seen that before).

The music is really good, it's neutral, but it gets the pace and mood right. I'm not very picky over editing stuff, just as long as it's not over-edited and this was fluent and done right, an organic feel to it like Quake is.
