In MME you can set the speed in 3 different ways, so you can add points and have a timeline even when the demo isn't moving. I think in Wolfcam you need to just set the timescale to something really low, but I've never experimented with it myself. It was really weird figuring it out in MME, and probably even worse in Wolfcam.

The reason it's not doable with the MME cameras that are now in Wolfcam is that it needs to be set in a different script file, the speed of the demo. Wolfcam doesn't have that.

Just place the points closer together, only a few ms apart, and slow it down so the time between points increases.

The only method I've found is very low timescales (0.001 - 0.0001), it can be a bit of a hassle getting everything right but the end result looks great.

And don't worry about camera point speed, you automatically determine this when you decide how much time elapses between one camera point and the next. When setting up camera points you are basically telling it "at this precise point in time during demo playback the camera should be at this position and angle". So regardless of playback speed the camera will always be at X position when that moment in the demo arrives, which means the camera movement speed will depend directly on your playback timescale. As with everything it gets easier with practice.

Using mousewheel to fastforward/rewind in 0.001 increments helps when setting up slowmo scene camera points, although you'll probably need to use 0.0001 increments if you want the scene to look absolutely still while the camera moves around for any considerable amount of time. Those fucking player-model "lurches" can be a pain.

To avoid any headaches during recording, make sure your camera starts moving just before you need it to, and stops moving just after you need it to. Then you can start pre-scene playback at 0.1 speed or whatever to allow the scene to generate all the blood/smoke/marks/sparks, and as soon as you see the camera start to move, pause it, set timescale 0.000X, start recording and unpause. (You could also bind all this). Then as soon as camera stops moving, stoprecord. This saves time and also avoids generating several gigabytes of unwanted frames.
