I actually bought a secondhand razer taipan white edition the same hour I posted this, I weirdly suddenly felt an incredible urge to buy it, it was a two-hours story from the desire birth till the buy lol. Bit it turned out really bad, I don't know if I bought a fake mouse or my roocat taito mousepad is not quite suitable with it or if it requires tune-ups because its sensor is so inconstant, it goes anywhere but the desired way and it even slightly jitters. I can't even draw a straight line in paint, which I easily do with my ss rival. These two are just incomparable. I'm going to sell it to someone else but I still want to try more mice and new sensors is my focus.
taipan is shit, stay away from it. Shape is ok, but right side buttons + crap sensor.
rival is fine. 3310 sensor. One of the best, if not the best, sensor in the market atm.
but anyway as long as you use wmo or ie3.0 (tho these 2 mice are 400dpi only, on large screen it can be a problem), mice with 3090 (or even 3050) or s3888 or 3989 or 3366 or 3310 or AM10 N1301T (g100s, g302), then it's perfectly fine. You might also want to check sensor implementation but usually all mice from steelseries razer zowie roccat cmstorm logitech even asus etc with these sensors i listed above are good enough in (almost) any situation.
