run the game as a administrator, if it works just fix the security permissions on your game folder

windows 7 is still broke, and child folders won`t have permissions set or inheritied, so you have todo it all manually

FYI, this issue has nothing to do with admin rights, but is because the mission pack DLLs have incorrect default base addresses specified and the save game logic saves function pointer addresses and just errors out if the DLL is relocated to a different address.

I think my version of the fix (check for relocation and adjust pointers appropriately) was archived in 2005:

I've not checked the links but it's possible that the issue may still occur with the "fixed" DLLs linked in #3 - I know that someone released some binaries that just changed the default base address so that it was less likely to happen but still could.

This is a old error. You must update your mission packs(the DLL files: game86x.dll), bro!
