I was asked to make a prototype script for extraQL which can be used to automatically connect your QL client to a match with high rated players. The intention behind it is to allow people to run streams similar to qlranksTV. Personally I won't run any streams myself. I'll just provide the necessary APIs and scripts to allow such a service.

I've been out of town and don't know if the person behind the above mentioned stream is the person who initially asked me to write the script, but probably yes.

The extraQL script is really just a prototype and needs some further work to be "production ready" to run a stream unattended.

It's not me, but I know who it is. I've just setup ffa_tv though, and will be trialing it with the script in the next couple of days :)

The extraQL userscript "QuakeTV" should be stable enough now to allow unattended streaming.

Get the latest extraQL from Steam Workshop, tick the Options and Log check boxes, and enable the QuakeTV script.
Next time you start QL you can use "\qtv help" to get a list of commands.
e.g.:
\qtv duel,all,1 connects you to the best duel match in any region
\qtv ca,na,2 connects to the 2nd best CA match in north america
\qtv 0 stops the auto-connect/following
