depends on how you play, it only raises in matchmaking, private games dont give any points, which is why many players have lower ratings(Cooller would already have 100+ for example)

Anyway, in any acitivity grinding is not what matters, but deliverate practice and thnking new strategies.

what a shit game and utterly incomparable replacement to quake...

for real. i was just watching this video of cypher back in the day and it just blows my mind how awesome those top players were at QL, and how shit/boring they look when they play in Overwatch. a real shame :(

It's sad to see that they actually have/had no passion for quake. It's just about the money.

They do have passion for Quake. The thing is, progaming is the only career they have, without doing anything substantial in regular jobs, so they are going to keep on switching games to pay the bills. Quake is not profitable anymore, so they are forced to switch games. Doesn't matter if they like progaming or not now, or that they dislike the specific popular game, because it's the only thing they can do.

I have to agree. Its seems like some of them dread the idea of having an actual job.
