This is fairly suspicious. A lot of his mouse movements look fairly robotic to me. He's lg'ing some guy who gets unexpectedly railed mid air, and his aim just casually follows the change in trajectory as if was some sort of routine or predictable movement, like a familiar dodge pattern or a jump. The spec hud showed a wide fov so it's not like he was zooming hard either.

I see it. In that moment the crosshair would have my undivided attention. I would have not even noticed the player falling from above for another second or so. You can only see his feet when he starts adjusting his aim and at that time he could not have known the direction the player is going. Could just be a lucky moment but that is definitely a quick reaction.

I've had several in-game experiences with jim and badmouse and my personal opinion is that they use some kind of custom undetectable cheat. With jim, I totally agree with you about his overall game. I'd also like to point out that it felt like he was wallhacking, but that's hard to prove. The aim and mouse movements can be very subtle at times, but the stats are often borderline even when the server/route is less than optimal. They can still hit 50+ lg when everybody else is struggling to hit 40 because of an inconsistent server/route. French-Canadians seem to have a secret group of players that love to share this custom hack. I've heard from a few sources that their custom tool can see the actual hitbox.

Once again though, this is speculation, but something does feel fishy.

Yeah there's that whole stereotype about french canadians cheating, and it does seem to have some statistical validity. Jimqc basically is the inspiration for the meme about french players making lame excuses for cheating in comically broken english. I haven't paid enough attention to Jim since his return to have an opinion on whether he cheats currently, but when he played as 0wner it looked very suspicious. As for badmouse, my opinion is he's just one of the best aimers ever in quake live, plus he isn't french (people often confuse him with extremerz who is from qc).

Lol... Say what you want about warp but I haven't noticed anything remarkable with him or his connection. His dodging is very effective which might accentuate the fact that the netcode and client prediction aren't great. I've never seen someone counter his lg "easily", so I really don't know what you're talking about. Maybe try your hand at 1v1 thunderstruck and see how it goes

I have seen badmouse a few times and had my suspicions at first, but after watching him for a while I did not see anything fishy about him, just solid aim and he is fairly good at duel as well. Most likely an older/known player using an alias.

Second post I've seen lately about people thinking French Canadians have cheats, sounds like it's probably the same guy you're playing on different accounts.

Not entirely sure how seeing the actual hitbox would help aim significantly, considering it's smaller than tank Jr model and barely larger than keel. Aside from aiming at a different shape ie cylinder.

he was playing CTF in EU on 110 ping vs lowpingers. crazy lg push, too fast rails, rail snapping onto my RJ-s(weird). high accuracies, top dmg.
unlagged in netcode works up to 80 ms only, beyond that it gets exponentially worse and u gotta aim ahead. I've played on that same ping a few times in the past on US servers, and you just don't do that kinda stuff on 110ms vs lowpingers. total bullshit.
edit: oh and on top of all that, he was dodging like a mofo

It's not changed, it's 'up to' 80 ms still.

so on 110ms you have 80ms compensation, and then need to lead 30ms yourself.

And projectiles don't get helped.

None of these players routinely hit 50% LG. If you want to look at purplerain's LG average over the last 100 matches it's 44%. To me this suggests 50% LG often depends on a situation where you can really abuse your aim. JIMQC and Zereck have a little higher LG average. Poor timing, movement or decision making is not enough evidence for a cheat accusation. Some players can use their aim to make up for what they're lacking in those areas. That being said ANYONE who has been banned before should always be suspected.

I remember 0wner, JimQC, R4Ven, Gnik. They are the biggest cheating scum in quake ever.

just kidding. known the guy for like almost 10 years, saw his progression and had my suspicions, stopped giving a fuck. ive played 3 completely different games with him and his aim looks pretty similar in all 3. mad annoying to play against, but that's everyone that hits that hard all the time and im sure some people say the same about me.

yea yea, he said - she said. i dont care. i called him a cheater in a different game 7 years ago and have since changed my opinion because he literally aims the same way in every game ive played with him. it's not a huge mystery or conspiracy in his case, unless the same aimbot translates to 3 different games (all with anticheats) undetected without a hitch.

To be completely fair, we came from a game that was pretty predition heavy, being halo pc with the fucked netcode. Hes certainly capable of leading rockets, and his rockets aren't even bad. He chooses to play the way he does I guess.
