nothing hard about getting Q43A to work, i recoded 60% of the sdk, which build into the .dll/.so which obviously means you can`t use q4max or the base folder

seeing everyone complained about most features that were in q3 missing in q4, they don`t just appear editing a text file

you load Q43A on the mod menu on the main menu in quake 4
you can use q43a launcher to configure and save a cfg and launch listen and dedicated server, the main menu has most but not all server options

its single player version of Q43A, i stopped bothering with in 2009, in 2011 i renamed militia to Q43A and started all the mp stuff

so now Q43A has singleplayer, multiplayer all in a single dll/so, with windows and linux all using the same single code base of a sln

normal quake 4, needs for different SDK if you want to do singleplayer, muli player, windows and linux

Q43A code is all integrated together init

in Q43A there is no spgame.dll/so or mpgame.dll/so its just game.dll/so

you code something once in VS on windows, copy the same files to linux and just run scons

its all like, never heard of compiler macro`s and ifDEF after you gone through every file with your ascii compare

after you have done all that, your find out 3 lines are different

kind of is, have to preserve your ammo or die in single shots most of the time

you can walk through quake 4 retail without even trying, while the boring level start grinding on you, you can have random AI on fire, and see your death through the eyes of the AI

most of the retail singleplayer maps in Q43A are full of bugs, some work, some bits of them don`t, its 50/50 at best, unless someone goes through all the maps and scripts and fixes them

and i fixed Ai not being able to hear, and made sight better

if you want to play retail maps, you go into singleplayer when you have Q43A loaded, and select a single player map, or press the start game button

everything works with the base game works, singleplayer just has bugs in the maps and map scripts

the problem with Q43A is, everyone is thick and can`t get it to work, so 90% just keep crying and crying and crying year in and year out on here and in quakelive irc

Q43A dedicated or listen servers won`t get listed on q4master, for the ingame browser, who gives a fuck, you connect to a ip or drop the console down and type connect 127.0.0.1

nothing from any other mod will work in Q43A, because i recorded most of the SDK and cleaned up the def files

you can load up Q43A, drop the console down and go into editor

use everything from the base game like it is quake 4 base for single or multiplayer and will all work like normal inside Q43A, +all the mp fixes and func_liquid for water/lava etc

load a map up with func_liquid outside of Q43A, your func_liquid will just be a textured box

how do you turn on vehicle animations

probably fixing client prediction think and all the vfl.states that are needed

the turret on the gev works when you fire it, the walker is linked to the actor ai, and not a full vehicle for some random retardness

the gev needs a new force table or it will just flood the server with hover pads enabled on its spawn class

Yeah, for me it's "Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V", just had a feeling it was cloud save as well.
