Uhm i dont have any custom content installed at all, just meant standart talkin icon/window whatever you call it which appears above player who is in chat/console. Just need that for a moviemaking.
So correct me if I'm wrong.....but it sounds an awful lot like you're trying to make a fragvideo, where you are chat fragging people, and you want to hide the chatboxes so that you can pretend they are not chatting so it looks like clean frags.......
Lol im not into such a cheap stuff. Just it doesnt look good when you make frags and some group of players are standin in the side talkin trash to each other and as a result all having those blue icons above them.
If the guys chatting are off to the side, you could crop the video and make it look like an artsy close-up. Or put a feathered mask around the action, invert selection and apply a heavy blur. Then all you'd have to do is key out the blue in the chat bubble so no blue shows through. Or desaturate the clip.
Or...you can view the action from a point where you can't see the chat bubbles. You can create animated cameras in wolfcam, I believe. I think there are limits. IE: you can only create a camera and move it within a certain range relative to your character, and certain things might still not render cus the demo doesn't record the entire game. Just the stuff that's happening in your corner of the world, I guess.
Or, maybe you can find the sprite manually and remove it. If you use wolfcam, it usues a lot of custom textures and sprites and such...maybe you can track it down in the folder.
I wouldn't think there would be a CVAR to remove that, as it's an important indicator in a live game.
Me I ALWAYS kill guys in chat. If people stopped chat-fragging, people would use the chat button to cheat.
EDit: I don't know why I bother with paragraphs.
