First of all, I must say that Q3/QL is my favourite game! But there is also something that I've got to say, so let's go step by step.

I will make multiple config options on server creation, and you can pick faster version. And we will see what to make default.
By the way, I've tried to make faster versions and I had problems with the ball - it's too fast. It's like to catch rocket in the air in Quake, only bots can do that. But maybe we will solve this problem with help of community.

It's a strafe jump, just with small speed.

You can set any height in config.
But with standard height everything seems flat, it's hard to see the ball (maybe it's just me).

No questions, design was made mostly by me (I'm not a designer), I just wanted early feedback before real designer starts.

I hate to say it but choice of kinda-classical football was made one year ago... So I will have to stick with it, otherwice it's like starting a new game... It's takes too much experiments, even for big studios, not to mention me.

* Removing the thumping sound when moving, it's too monotone and repetitive.

* Add ambient sounds such as crowd cheering, maybe using a smart system that crowd is more cheering when you get near the goal.

* Same goes for scoring goals, more excitement in general needed. You need to 'feel' the game in terms of sound as well, not only gameplay.

* Make the game a tad faster

* Continue to work on graphics, I would not go for hyper-realistic here but a good way would be 'cartoonish'

* Let people customize their team skins/model so that community feeling is boosted


Looks nice though, reminds me a bit of Sensible soccer in a way, but then with the First person POV introduced.

Next update will include modern engine, graphical and sound assets, so we can proceed with style, excitement and other things you mentioned. Really glad that you approve the concept!

Don't FIFA games already have a first person perspective gametype? I don't see the point of a game trying to beat them at their game, but at least an unrealistic approach would be something novel.

Just copy Rocket League and GC Mario Strikers. Faster ball, a cage so that the ball bounces (no throw ins and a second chance to react to fast balls), way faster movement speed, flashy moves (think Shaolin Soccer; not FIFA), player models selection and customization of them, etc.

Or if it's going to be realistic (boring) then at least it could be for phones, or in-browser or whatever.

I hope to work a lot, avoid suicidal fight and grow. I saw other demos of first person football, but I think I'm going to explore different sides of this category of games.

I'm not so arcade minded. RL is a phenomenal game, very beautiful, but can't imagine it 7 vs 7. I will do HD streams when I integrate new engine, I will cover faster ball problems.

Camera height is in config already. I chose default to be higher because on normal height field looks flat (not beautiful) and movement is not clear ("strategic" view required). But I may be wrong.

There is also second config variable that allows you to be both higher than eyes and see your legs while shooting higher targets.

When Cry Engine will be integrated, I will make long video with detailed response on every comment with in-game demonstration.
