cg_drawgun 1 or cg_drawgun 2, or cg_drawgun 3(for transparent weapon model).

Then make sure the weapon model is not positioned outside the screen by resetting cg_gunx, cg_guny and cg_gunz to their default values.

If you are sure that the gun model is not outside the window (as mapamapa mentioned) then it sounds like your weaponconfig commands is the problem. If you have the cg_drawgun in your weaponconfig line (i.e.: cg_weaponconfig_rl) then it will overrule whatever you change the command to manually. It won't even work temporarily.

Probably due to your custom gun position. Make sure cg_gunX cg_gunY and cg_gunZ are at default values.
